A scarce and very fine .450 (3.25 -inch) Black Powder Express ÒHenryÕs PatentÓ falling block hammer rifle, no. 3548, 28.5 -inch heavy round barrel with raised fore and rearsights, platinum lined folding leaf to 200, Henry rifling, the frame, stepped non-rebounding backlock, hammer and push forward underlever with fine scroll engraving and retaining almost all of its original hardening colour, top ring engraved HENRYÕS PATENT A No 79, 14.25 -inch figured stock with straight hand and chequered steel buttplate, Black powder proof, in its full length canvas case, case relined and recovered, 6lb. 4oz. The rifle is sold with a small quantity of ammunition, empty cases and reloading dies for this calibre.John Dickson & Sons confirm that the rifle was built in 1898

A very fine .500 (3-inch) hammer rifle, no. 4262. the 28-inch Damascus barrels with Henry rifling and matted top rib, rearsight with folding leaf to 200 yds, the rounded frame, bolted hammers, non-rebounding back locks and rotary underlever with fine scroll engraving and retaining almost all of its original hardening colour, 14.5-inch well figured stock with pistol grip, engraved cap and cheek piece, chequered steel butplate engraved with load infomation 120 grains no.6 powder, black powder proof, in its oak and leather case with makers label, 8lb. 7oz. The makers confirm that the rifle was built in 1877 as the number two of a pair. It appears almost unused and retains virtualy all of its original finish. It is sold with 8 rounds of recent Kynoch ammunition.

A small cannon barrel on carriage mount. German, 1st half 18th century. Bronze with inset iron barrel in calibre 19.5 mm. Reinforced muzzle. The cascabel with face-up vent and (detachable?) square base. Two finely crafted dolphin carrying handles over a punched background, fitted trunnions. Pretty black-green patina. Length 102 cm. The wooden carriage with nailed baroque iron fittings and a small ammunition box under the cascabel. The finial piece fragmentary and worm-ridden, the iron parts corroded, the iron-reinforced wooden axle and several fittings included. Total length 160 cm. €2,500.00
