Suzuki and Edwards (Japan) Interceptor: comprises tinplate front section of an aircraft with white plastic propellor, fold-out tinplate wings and tinprinted cockpit detail with clear plastic windscreen. Battery operated with light-up moving radar-screen, shooting action with three red plastic rockets, and machine gun. Includes black tripod base. Measures 17cm x 15cm x 37cm. Appears VG with clean battery compartment, some chips to paint, in G/VG box. An unusual item.
Gama (Germany) No.825 Zooming Satellite, c.1958: novelty space toy features tinprinted globe with one plastic satellite and metal tripod stand with suction cups, clockwork with key. When wound the globe spins, and the satellite - which starts next to the globe - moves away to its full extent then returns. In G/F working order, satellite/ball cracked and small dent to globe, in G/VG box with instruction leaflet.

A group of four Chinese bronze censers, late 19th/early 20th century, all of bombé form, two raised on tripod supports with high loop handles and carved wooden covers, together with two further examples cast to the exterior with dragons and taotie masks, one with bronze shou cover, two will wooden stands (4)
A bronze Seal, 16th/17th century, simply, but effectively modelled as a single-horned, mythical beast squatting with up-raised head, 5.5cm The seal characters read: Chengshi hanmo (a seal belonging to someone whose surname was Cheng and made specifically for use with calligraphy). As is frequently pointed out by Rose Kerr in her ground-breaking Later Chinese Bronzes, V&A, 1990, dating bronzes from the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties is fraught with problems. However, the present seal characters are enclosed by chilong close in handling to those cast on the leg of a tripod censer illustrated op cit, pl. 23, and dated to 16th/17th century. CONDITION REPORT: Some small knock marks to side of base, otherwise no obvious faults. Provenance: as per catalogue.
A bronze Incense Burner, Cover and Stand, 18th/19th century, the depressed globular body with a wide band of key fret and two sprung handles, resting on elephant head handles, the pierced domed cover with a chilong and tiger snarling at one another, detachable tripod base, the burner with cast mark in seal characters Jia chuan zhen wan, 28cm, brass ash shovel (4) CONDITION REPORT: LID - slightly misshapen. BURNER - a small poorly cast section 2 x 2mm on key band, otherwise no major faults.
