WW2 British Warden, Civil Defence Blouse, Original wartime blouse, dated 1943 and manufactured by ‘Rego Clothiers’. Warden titles are hand sown onto each shoulder. The kings crowned Civil Defence Corps patch to the pocket as well as the ‘Wandsworth’ title below. Fair condition with some small mothing to the front of the blouse
WW1 / WW2 British Army Cap Badges, Good selection of British military cap badges. Includes a mixture of original and restrike cap badges. Two plastic type KRRC cap badges, Australian collar badges pair of, and an Ayrshire yeomanry cap badge feature in this lot. Overall good condition with some lugs or sliders missing.
WW2 British Airborne Drop Harness, 1944 dated and manufactured by ‘ME Co’ or Mills Equipment Company. This webbing harness complete with all its brass buckles is a rare example of the types used to secure around wicker panniers for airborne forces in WW2. This one is unusual in the respect its constructed out of webbing material and not the usual parachute style straps.
WW2 German Kriegsmarine Naval Battle Flag. A good original WW2 German Navy or 'Kriegsmarine' battle flag. This example is printed upon cotton, depicting the central swastika with the Eisernes Kreuz, or Iron Cross to the top corners. Double sided, with nice machine stitched reinforced edges. The white tape still houses its rope and knot hole. Complete with very nice clear ink stamps with the size,'K.Kr.Fl 150x250' to the left corner, and the makers mark 'Curt Brautigam, Plauen, Vogtland', to the right hand corner, on which the Kriegsmarine Eagle and swastika with the 'M' below has also been stamped. Overall a very nice example with some mild staining, however the colours are good, strong and vibrant. 142cmx240cm.
Superb WW2 German Insignia Factory Sample Book with Kriegsmarine Trade & Proficiency Badges: Large folder with pull out sleeves of various Kriegsmarine trade badges was for the factory Gebrüder Aurnhammer in Weissenburg, Bavaria. The various trade / proficiency badges include various naval Flieger (flying) trades, signallers, mechanics, musicians, the three grades of diver’s badges including the rare example for U-Boats, etc. Examples are yellow on blue, red on blue and blue on white types. All fitted to the album page with a number and a brief title description in German underneath. The last page also has a Kriegsmarine tunic breast eagle. A very interesting item for any Kriegsmarine or cloth insignia collector. 91 items of insignia in total.
WW2 British Colonel’s Battle Dress Blouse, Rifle Brigade, Colonel’s austerity battle dress blouse, complete with original insignia. The General staff gorgets sit on each lapel with RB buttons upon them. Standard RB black buttons throughout as well as black metal rank insignia to the epaulettes. The colour has been tailored open and faced in a serge material, typical wartime officers practice. Medal ribbons sit upon the chest, the British Empire Medal, 14–15-star, War medal and the BVM with the Mentioned in despatches leaf. GSM and North Africa star. Size 15 on the label with the date of 1942, nice early example with a cross over period label and twin interior pockets before one being deleted in later blouses. Moth holes scattered across the blouse in places. Otherwise a nice interesting blouse.
WW2 1944 RAF Side Cap and Cap Badge, RAF side cap and cap badge, in fair condition, still quite rigid in its structure. The interior has wear, but still visible is the yellow ink stamp with the broad arrow and the date of 1944. The two brass buttons sit in situ on the front. Mixed lot of medals and coinage, including a British Victory Medal to Edward terry of the Royal West Kents, service no.14725, then transferring to the 8th royal fusiliers with service no. 60768. Served in France, 7th Oct 1916 - 10th May 1917, discharged April 1918, awarded silver wound badge, 38 yrs old. Also, WW2 Italy star & War medal, UN peace medal and Belgium Croix De Guerre. WW2 German M35 Helmet with War Art, Good Original WW2 German helmet shell of the M35 model, with post war applied ‘war art’. The liner and chin strap are refurbishment pieces. Makers marked ‘SE64’ to the inner rim. Green over paint with anti-axis painting to the outer shell, depicting Adolf Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo fates. Good attractive piece with well painted figures to the shell.
WW1 British / Canadian Jack knives, 1916, Two first world war British and Canadian jack knives. The British one in the larger ww1-Pre ww2 size is undated, although its nicely marked upon the blade with the ‘GR’ and crown. Manufactured by ‘Rogers & Sons’ of Norfolk. All three tools move nicely from the inside of the handle. The blade itself has been sharpened over its lifetime reducing the original width of the blade. Secondly in the Canadian made jack knife, typical in its manufacture with all metal grips. Marked to the body with the stamping, ‘M&D Canada’ and dated ‘1916’. On the reverse side is the Canadian ‘C’ stamp and broad arrow. The lanyard loop though has since long gone. (2 items)

WW2 German Luftwaffe Afrikakorps (D.A.K) Tropical Pith Helmet, rare to find pattern of the tropical pith helmet issued to the Luftwaffe in North Africa and Italy. The helmet has the olive green covering to the cork body. Original Luftwaffe aluminium tropical helmet eagle and national tri-colour decals. Light tan leather trim to the brim and leather chinstrap. Interior with the olive cloth underside, red interior and tan leather sweatband stamped ‘W.P.B’. Underside of the sweatband with ink size stamp. Some wear, the top being pushed in (cork not cracked or damaged), some staining and a burn mark to the interior. Please note this lot is based at our USA warehouse and will be shipped from the USA.

WW2 National Fire Service Tunic and Belt, Home Front, Original example of an NFS tunic complete with period Fire Brigade buttons. The NFS patch is stitched to the front of the tunic with the number ‘38’. The additional badge of the area ‘Venner F.B’ is underneath. Belt hooks at the rear are both present as is the hook and eyes on the collar. The jacket is solid condition although has signs of wear and storage marks, as well as few moth holes. The correct belt is included in this lot. A good piece of Home Front history.
WW2 British Anti-Gas Brassard Issued to D-Day US Paratroopers: Sleeve gas detector brassard that was made from paper treated with Gas Detector paint. Upon the detection of sprayed blister gas the affected areas would turn red indicating personal decontamination was required by the soldier. These brassards were issued to all invasion troops involved in the D-Day invasion as well as the American paratroopers who can be seen wearing them in period photographs, stamped inside 1/42 1 SL/R. WW2 British & Canadian Cloth Insignia, Good quantity of British and Canadian cloth insignia. Several matched pairs of shoulder titles, including Printed RCEME, embroidered RCASC and Canadian Provost Corps. A nice Royal Navy officers peak cap badge, Printed qualification badges plus some interesting singles like the ‘2nd TAF’ titles backed with period newspaper. Some pieces are reproduction or of post war origin. Good overall selection
WW2 British HMSO Wartime Booklets and Magazines, A good large collection of original WW2 period Stationery Office official booklets and magazines. The lot includes many titles, such as 'The Air Battle of Malta', 'British Railways, in Peace & War', 'Before We Go Back, Norway's Fight', 'There's Freedom in the Air' and 'Fleet Air Arm' to name a few. Two larger magazine type books, one of the Eighth Army in Egypt and the other on the campaign in Tunisia. Also, an Air Ministry published book on 'Kings Regulations of the Royal Air Force'. Some of the copies have unfortunately suffered from wear and tear with some covers and bindings deteriorating.
WW2 Royal Marines Officers Greatcoat, 1939, Good clean example of an officer’s greatcoat. This one to an officer of the Royal Marines. RM brass buttons all present and tailors label to the interior pocket, dated 19-8-1939. Hook and eye collar and chain hanger. Good condition with some slight wear and mild moth damage.
WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Cockpit Clock, Original Luftwaffe aircraft clock. This example is manufactured by ‘Kienzle’ and housed in its brass case with the usual four hole in which it would be attached to the inside dash of various types of aircraft. Upon opening the clock, by lifting the face away from the housing on a hinge, it shows us the mechanism and the winder which is stamped with the Luftwaffe contract number ‘FL23887’. Although it winds up and ticks, we can guarantee its time keeping. The all hands moves as they should including the ‘seconds’ hand on the inner dial. The brass work has suffered with some denting to the edges and the two main hands losing the illuminated facings. Overall, a nice piece of rare Luftwaffe aircraft instrument.
WW1-WW2 Royal Navy Trench Art Shells, HMS Repulse, Two small shells in the form of trench art candle sticks. Both engraved with the HMS Repulse emblem and scroll. Good pair mounted upon a small stand and flared at the top. HMS Repulse a well known Royal Navy Cruiser which participated in the First and Second World Wars, Being sunk by a Japanese aerial attack on 10th December 1941. WW2 Soviet Russian Flag, Good large sized cotton soviet flag. Typically, red in colour with the yellow hammer & sickle in the top corner nearest the pole. Some wear, including a repair to the top corner to stop the flag sliding down the pole, as well as wind damage to the leading edge. 29x56 inches.
WW2 WAAF Battle Dress Blouse & Skirt Set, Private Purchase, Lovely original wartime period made Women’s Auxiliary Air Force blouse with matched skirt. This blouse has been made in serge material and follows the same cut as the standard early issue blouse, although the difference being this example follows the women’s uniform tradition of buttoning and buckling on the opposite side, unlike the issued blouses that followed the pattern of men’s blouses. The interior cloth in a silk type material is in good condition, with the London tailors label at the back of the collar. The skirt is in the same serge cloth and completes the set, differencing from the standard slacks. There is also every possibility this could belong to a ‘Donut Dollie’ of the US Red Cross. Overall, very good condition and a very unusual uniform set.
WW2 German Trench Art Shell, 1940, Nice, unusual example of a WW2 German trench art brass shell. Nicely decorated to the sides with a swastika within a sun, a German solder with tin helmet, marked ‘Westen 1940’ below. On the other side is a German burial cross with ‘Vaterland’ upon the cross. WW2 Japanese Military Photographs, Paperwork and Flag, Good small collection of WW2 Japanese items, including four snapshots of Japanese military personal, two booklets, a card booklet for National Saving and a small Japanese bayonet flag. Lovely small selection of genuine Japanese military items. All in fair condition for their age.
WW2 German Flak 88 Timed Fuse Box. Original wooden crate with working metal catches to open, for the Flak 88 timed fuses. Original finish with the stencilling ‘Oben Nicht Werfen’ to the lid. Carrying handle in situ with the lead lined interior too. A paper label has come away on the inside of the lid, except on corner with the date, 27/7/42 still visible. Overall good period piece of German equipment.
WW2 British Chindit and SEAC Cloth Insignia, a good collection of original British cloth insignia related to the Chindits of the Burma Campaign, having all came from the same individual who served in South East Asia. This lot includes a beautiful pair of bullion Chindit patches, sewn onto a blue felt material as these types of period made pieces should be. One pair of bullion ‘Allied Land Forces South East Asia’ (ALFSEA) patches, as well as 4 pairs of the standard printed ALFSEA examples. One pair of Embroidered theatre made 14th Army patches backed on a KD airtex material. 12th Army matching pair of theatre made patches are also included, once again backed onto airtex material and utilizing a pin and catch to attach to the uniform sleeve. Printed pair of 11th East African Division patches, one ‘SEAC’ title and a small collection of red felt ‘T’ patches with the number ‘170’ upon the top. These resemble that of the WW1 170th RE tunnellers patches although no official evidence of this patch is known to exist, and more likely to be of a theatre made SEAC Origin.
WW2 British Mk.II Helmet and 1944 dated Map Case, Original British Mk.II steel combat helmet complete with 1938 dated liner and chin strap. The shell itself has been over painted and covering any manufactures stamps or date. The liner is secured in place with a modern replacement nut and bolt. Nice original close squared net dons the helmet. Included in this lot is a 1944 dated map case which is in fair condition, however it’s missing its original strap.
