Captain Joseph Smith Speer (English, d. 1837) , "A General Chart of the West Indies By Captain J. S. Speer with Additions from the latest Navigators", London, Robert Wilkinson, 1796, with dedication "To His Royal Highness...Prince of Wales", hand-colored engraved map, 28 1/2 in. x 46 1/2 in., Ref: Phillips Maps, p. 1057; Servies, 494 (not listing this issue) Note: Captain Speer served in the Royal Navy, serving over 20 years on the Mosquito Coast. With his deep knowledge of the West Indies he produced many maps of the area, his most notable publication being The West-India Pilot in 1766.

A George V 1896 pattern infantry officer's Levee sword by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, the 82.5cm fullered steel blade etched with Royal cypher, scrolling foliage and original owner's initials G.W.G.(Guy), THE LOYAL NORTH LANCS REGT., the back edge numbered 56239, the nickel plated hilt pierced and engraved with Royal cypher, with wire bound fishskin grip, lacks scabbard **Provenance:- Paternal descent
1821 Pattern Victorian Cavalry Sword by Wilkinson 35 inch single edged slightly curved blade. Large fuller. Blade etched with floral scroll panels, crowned VR cypher, family crest of lion standing on a cap of maintenance (Howard) and owner’s initials “CH”. The forte with maker’s details “Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall London”. Back edge with number “32849”. Three bar steel guard with downswept quillon. Steel part checkered backstrap and pommel. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its steel scabbard with two hanging rings. Scabbard pitted with some dents.
1888 Pattern MKII Metford Bayonet 12 inch double edged blade. The forte marked “Wilkinson London” dated “8/99”. Steel muzzle ring, crossguard and pommel ... Wooden slab grips retained by two brass rivets. Contained in its steel mounted leather scabbard. Complete with white blancoed buff leather bayonet frog.
Henry Wilkinson 1912 pattern 20th Hussars British Calvary officers' sword, etched to blade RMT, probably for Captain R.M. Thompson who served throughout WW1 on the western front, he retired to the Cirencester area. The sword is impressed "44276 and London made" the serial number indicating the sword was one of 534 made in 1913, in original leather covered scabbard
