A collection of four mid 20th century vintage Clarice Cliff ceramics comprising of a Bizarre plate having floral decoration throughout, an art deco style blue and white dish, a three tone Bizarre bowl of tapering form together with a Honeyglaze dish for Wilkinson. Makers stamp to the verso. Measures 16cm wide.
[Beatrix Potter Interest] A Man Made of Money by Douglas Jerrold with 12 illustrations on steel by John Leech published Punch Office 1849 first edition bound in 19th century half leather. This copy bears the nameplate of Thomas Taylor, Sawrey with pencil note on endpaper 'Beatrix Potter’s copy probably purchased locally, which I bought from Capt. Duke Castle Cottage Sawrey, who assured me that the title page (Plate1) was coloured by B.P. (Beatrix Potter)' a faint pencil note beneath reads 'from the stock of Herman Wilkinson in Cumbria' with his annotation above 'Wilkinson made many purchases of Potter items from Capt. Duke c.1966' [similar family books sold at Christies 1997 New York]
A British 1907 Wilkinson for Enfield SMLE bayonet, unit marked for the 'Lancashire Regiment of Prince of Wales Volunteers', marked T 5 P.W.V 89', length of blade 43.5cm, various proof marks to the blade, in leather scabbard, the leather section has various marks and letters to include an indistinct possible soldier's surname. CONDITION REPORT From the collection of Melvin 'Tankman' Cordwell.Handle slightly dirty, does not appear to have been reduced or ground. Scabbard is worn, but in reasonable condition.

Clarice Cliff Bizarre 'My Garden' jug, h23.5cm, a similar patterned jug by Wilkinson with flower finial, h12.5cm, Newport pottery jug, h20cm, two jugs with green and grey bands, marked Royal Staffordshire Pottery Honeyglaze to base, a Wilkinson cylindrical jam pot, a honey pot, a water lily planter, and a Wilkinson plate (9)Condition Report: Silver border plate: crazed, rubbing to decoration. Planter: 10cm hairline crack vertically from rim. Honey pot: possibly sun faded, and crazed, no chips or cracks found. Jam pot: crazed throughout, no chips or cracks found. Teapot: 1cm crack to underside of lid, no other damage found. Jug with floral handle: crazed throughout. Large jug: 2mm wear to spout.No other damage found.
