They exhibited at the l'Exposition Geneva in 1828. Pierre-Simon Gounouilhou was a French protestant, born in 1779, who was to have a major influence on the horological scene in Geneva; amongst his many achievements were watches constructed with quarter-chiming and Jaquemarts automata. He was a signatory on the petition, dated February 1829, to have a new observatory constructed.
