A novelty cravat pin, mid 19th century, in the form of a bird cage, the yellow metal box with small hinged lid to top cover, applied lettering RUE to front, the E enamelled, the whole with sprung hinges opening to reveal an enamel bird on spring, the interior with kite registration mark, approx 1.5cm square, in fitted case, approx 8.4g. CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition, no faults or enamel damage noted.
