Braemar - a rare Scottish provincial silver napkin ring William Walter Randle marked WWR, BMR, Edinburgh 1937, of simple oval outline with collet set citrine and engraved initial S 5.5cm wide 44g Exhibition: `Silver; Made in Scotland`, piece and marks illustrated 6.22 Notes: Randle was William Robb`s son in law and after his death took over the running of the successful Braemar branch. Randle was however not a maker and is considered a retailer of the Robb work and continued the tradition for many years later. As a retailer rather than maker items bearing Randle`s makers mark are rare and to date only a few are known.
