Zeppelin L.31 Souvenir Napkin Rings, 5cm diameter x 2 ½ cms wide, from the Zeppelin L.31 shot down by Lieut. V. Tempest on 2nd October 1916 over Potters Bar. Each ring is finely engraved 'L 31' and these are numbered '1', '2' and '4'. L.31 took part in the multi-Zeppelin raid of 23/24th Sept 1916 being the only airship to return to Germany unharmed, but was destroyed less than two weeks later. Originally part of the David Kirsch Collection.

One handle of one knife has some discoloured blemishes to one side. Generally the set is in good condition as is the interior of the box. Light scratches to the exterior of the box.Remaining items include:Harlequin set - spoon, fork Sheffield 1930 - engraved "AMM", - both show signs of use, rubbed and dents to bowl -  napkin ring Birmingham 1932 - engraved "AMM" - good heavy gauge in good condition.
