In addition a number of other prizes were bestowed including the welcome of a new group of inducteed to the International Football Hall of Champions. This included George Best, Didi, Marco van Basten and Zico. George Best (1946-2005) Northern Irish and Manchester United footballer, named European Footballer of the Year in 1968. The highly skillful winger considered one of the greatest dribblers in the history of the sport by several pundits. He was capped 37 times by Northern Ireland between 1964-77 scoring 9 goals. Playing with Manchester United from 1963 to 1974 making 361 appearances scoring 137 goals under Matt Busby and Jimmy Murphy (Youth manager), making his debut aged 17 on the 14th September 1963 against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford in a 1-0 victory. During the season 1964-64 he helped United to claim the league title against rivals Leeds United but were knockout of the FA Cup at semi-final stage by Leeds. He scored the opening goal of the 1965 FA Charity Shield against Liverpool FC ending in a 2-2 draw. He scored 2 goals in a European Cup quarter-final match against Benfica at Estadio da Luz on the 9th March 1966. The 1966-67 season saw United claim the league title by four points, he scored 10 goals in 45 games and helped United share the Charity Shield with a 3-3 draw with FA Cup winners Tottenham Hotspur, the 1st game broadcast in colour on British television.The 1967-68 season saw United win the European Cup beating Benfica in the final at Wembley with Best scoring in extra time, United won 4-1. A member of the "Holy Trinity" with Denis Law and Bobby Charlton. Under new manager Wilf McGuinness United reached 8th place in the 1969-70 season. His last competitive match for United was on the 1st January 1974 against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road, losing 3-0.

9ct. gold Football League Division One championship winner's plaque season 1975-76,inscribed DIVISION I, CHAMPIONS, 1975-76, in original Vaughton's of Birmingham case of issue, inscribed THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE, and with typescript paper label D. FAIRCLOUGHLiverpool won their first major trophy under Bob Paisley by narrowly winning the League title after heated competition from Dave Sexton's Queen's Park Rangers. In a dramatic climax to the season, Liverpool needed to either win or secure a low-scoring draw against relegation-threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers. With 14 minutes left for play and despite constant pressure in the second half, the Reds trailed to a Steve Kindon strike for Wolves. The title was slipping away from Liverpool but three late goals from Kevin Keegan, John Toshack and Ray Kennedy took the Championship trophy away from Loftus Road to Anfield. A 9ct gold and enamel Football League 3rd Division Southern Section Challenge Cup winner's medal 1933-34 awarded to Jimmy Gray of Exeter City, the obverse with blue enamel and lettering THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHALLENGE CUP COMPETITION, hallmarked 9ct, in original Thomas Fattorini Ltd, Birmingham box, weight: 13 gms, diameter: 32 mm.James “Jimmy” Gray (1900-1978) Scottish footballer and fullback with Exeter City with over 200 league games, helping them to reach the quarter final of the FA Cup in 1931. A benefit game was staged for him by Exeter City against his former club Liverpool FC at St James' Park in May 1935 with Liverpool winning 3-1. He remained at the club until the end of the 1935-36 season.The Football League Third Division South Cup was a football knockout competition open to teams competing in the Football League Third Division South, the competition first held in 1933-34 and ran until 1938-39, the cup was revived for the 1945-46 season. Exeter City winning the 1933-34 season against Torquay United 1-0.

LIVERPOOL FC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2005: An excellent multiple signed squad commemorative red shirt, limited edition, corresponding to the Champions League championship won by Liverpool FC, defeating AC Milan in the 25th May 2005 final, in what has been widely considered one of the best finals ever played. Individually signed by Steven Gerrard, Sami Hyypia, Xabi Alonso, Harry Kewell, Fernando Morientes, Peter Crouch, Boudewijn Zenden, Vladimir Smicer, etc.. The signatures were obtained at Melwood Training facility between 27th January and 6th February 2006. Very attractively presented, matted in red, framed in black and glazed to an overall size of 33.5 x 35.5. Together with a second matted in red framed and glazed set, 21 x 19.5, comprising an official printed Champions League final 2005 8 x 12 poster, Istanbul, Ataturk Olimpiyat Stadi, 25th May, matted alongside two certificates. The first issued by the Liverpool Football Club, signed by Dave Singleton, Vice-President of Reebok Europe and by Rafael Benitez Liverpool´s Manager, addressed to supporteers and referring to this gift box, and the second being a certificate of authenticity of the signed shirt. Also including a conmmemorative 13 x 16.5 red attractive box containing a colourful magazine entitled The History of the 49 Finals, and showing to the inside cover an attractive large colour photograph of Gerrard holding the cup.
