A heavy cast iron door knocker, believed to originate from Camarthen castle jail / gaol, in the form of a clenched fist holding a bar supporting trailing folate swag centred with a lion's mask, with a blackened finish throughout, 4 cm high, 6 cm wide. By reputation within the vendor's family that originate from the Camarthen area, Camarthen jail gaol housed inmates until the 1920's.
