Lot 67

1952 Wolseley 6/80 Saloon. reg. no. MXH 432, chassis no. 418/15688, a delightfully original car with approx. 63,000 miles from new. If you appreciate originality, then this rare example is a true delight. The vendor, who is a very knowledgeable enthusiast for the Marque, purchased it in 1997 and has regularly maintained it to a very high level. The mileage of approx. 63,000 miles can be confirmed, although the original Speedo was replaced at approximately. 33,000 miles (still with the car) the replacement now displaying approx. 30,000 miles. Unusually approx 90 % of the original cellulose paint is still present and in very presentable lustrous order (one front wing having been replaced many years ago). The fawn hide upholstery, which is believed to be a special order, is totally original, as are the carpets (drivers very worn) and headlining. The interior woodwork still retains its original polish and the whole feel is that of a lovingly preserved and lightly driven car. As you would expect from such a meticulously maintained car it drives very well and has a written service record supporting the mileage. It has many period extras from new including a Watford Weathershields tinted windscreen visor, period, headlamp and wing mirror "eyebrow" shields, Shell exhaust finisher, set of "Comfy Car" faux ocelot print tailored seat covers, original "Ace" number plates and wheel trims. It is supplied with its original keys, a history file including original buff log book, current V5, two handwritten service schedules, original handbook, service manual and related ephemera. It is also supplied with some hard-to-come-by spares, including new clutch, brake shoes, and a used master cylinder. A wonderful time warp: this car is virtually as it left the factory 73 years ago and has never been welded or restored, just lovingly maintained with working components replaced or overhauled as required and recorded. A rare opportunity. (Subject to 12% buyers' premium inclusive of VAT).

Registration – H833 HNO Chassis No. – WF0AXXGBBALU58061 M.O.T. – NO Odometer – 108,814 With the term “barn find” being bandied about with abandon nowadays, we are pleased to confirm that ‘H833 HNO’ genuinely deserves that desirable title. As part of a recently discovered horde of Fords this XR4x4i has been in barn storage for at least 15 years if not longer and in current ownership for over 20 years. Remarkable! Offered here with no reserve, this true survivor car represents an entirely original example of the 1990 Sierra model range. With such a long period off the road, ‘H833 HNO’ will clearly require a thorough recommissioning. A truly rare opportunity to acquire such an iconic Ford with such a remarkable back story. It seems a frighteningly long time since the Sierra appeared to a less than enthusiastic reception. It was a bold and modern design compared to the boxy Cortina and the buying public took a while to acclimatise. When the three door XR4i arrived with its double winged rear spoiler, it struggled against the more established 2.8-litre Capri with which it shared an engine. In 1985, the XR4x4i appeared and inherited the more practical and, by now, more accepted saloon body. With a sophisticated viscous coupled four wheel drive system and a now enlarged 2.9-litre version of the V6 Cologne engine, the XR4x4i finally came of age and proved much desired and popular. The XR4x4i proved to be rapid, practical and easy to maintain transport. Essentially an Audi Quattro at a substantial saving. ‘H833 HNO’ presents in Ford Radiant Red and looks to be in surprisingly good order, if in need of a good clean. All those signature XR attributes are evident including the headlamp wipers, body coloured bumpers, boot lid spoiler and original RS style lattice alloy wheels. Given this Sierra entering a barn shaped time warp 15 to 20 years ago, it is thought to remain in a highly original condition, with that reportedly original miniscule mileage. Incredible. In summary: · A miniscule mileage barn find example of the most popular saloon bodied XR4x4. · Remaining in a highly original condition throughout. · Presented in a vibrant and popular Ford livery.

Make & Model:Mercedes, 190E Date of Reg:G126BDP Colour:Blue cc:2599 MoT:2025-06-16 Fuel Type:Petrol Mileage:233200 Transmission:automatic Summary:This Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.6 Auto is in rare 2.6-litre six-cylinder form, giving 166bhp. It is in a high-spec with additional leather upholstery, electric seats, air conditioning (which is working), illuminated vanity mirrors, headlamp washers and wider 15-hole alloy wheels with Sportline-spec 205/55 tyres. Two registered keepers are recorded on the V5C (with the original owner keeping it for 21 years and 190,000 miles) and the odometer now shows 233,200 miles. The car was registered in February 1990 and the MoT is valid through to June 2025. The vendor tells us that the car runs and drives well and has been used for longer trips around the UK (including on business) as well as trips to car shows. There is an occasional ‘lazy tappet’ tick at start-up, which goes away when the engine is warm. He further tells us that the car has been very reliable over the last 40,000 miles/3.5 years. Recent work has included renewed suspension arms, bushes and dampers, rebuilt gearbox, new cooling system, new battery and alternator, new air conditioning compressor, dryer and condenser, new exhaust box, new engine mounts, new steering pump, new heater blower, new fuel injectors and electro-hydraulic actuator, two new electric window regulators, re-upholstered front seat and refurbished wheels. The vendor has spent around £14,000 in the last 3.5 years to bring the car up to its current condition. Paperwork includes the V5C and a copy of the previous one plus invoices, MoT certificates and the book pack with owner's manual, UK and European dealership directories and the service book with entries up to 163,202 miles in August 2012 (although there are invoices for servicing beyond this). There's also two sets of keys plus the original tools and alloy spare wheel.

Registration No: EWT 339Y Frame No: 13504 MOT: ExemptGuzzi's legendary Le Mans 850cc V-twinFitted with a twin headlamp three-quarter fairingSupplied with a workshop manual and a V5CMoto Guzzi was established in 1921 by three friends from the Italian Air Corps and is Europe’s oldest motorcycle manufacturer in continuous production, based in the same factory in Mandello del Lario overlooking Lake Como ever since. After mainly producing single cylinder designs for their road bikes, Moto Guzzi launched the 750cc V7 in 1969 to satisfy the demand for larger capacity bikes and the iconic transverse shaft drive V-twin layout has now become Guzzi's signature design, with the sporty Le Mans models becoming the most sought after model. It was named after the 24-hour motorcycle endurance race at Le Mans in France. This Le Mans MkIII is presented in a good and mostly original condition, fitted with a three-quarter twin headlamp fairing and short exhaust silencers. A set of standard fairing panels in white, together with the brackets and headlamp included in the sale. The MkIII is easily distinguishable by its large white Veglia tachometer and the square fined heads and barrels and is considered by some to be one of the best engines ever to be produced by Guzzi. Run recently, the bike will come supplied with a PDF and a printed workshop manual and a current V5C. For more information, please contact: Ian Cunningham ian.cunningham@handh.co.uk 07415871189

Registration No: Unregistered Frame No: Not visible MOT: ExemptRecent shed discoveryFor spares or to restoreRumoured to have had a competition pastDesigned under the auspices of Val Page, the two stroke, twin-cylinder Ariel Leader introduced a raft of innovative features aimed at simplifying production and providing motorcyclists with a versatile mount capable of commuting during the week and touring at the weekend. The steel pressings that formed the frame and forks drew heavily on contemporary car practise. Despite its novel design and lively two-stroke powerplant, the Leader held little appeal for younger learner riders, who had been restricted to machines of 250cc or below in 1961. Ariel remedied this with the introduction of the Arrow in 1960 and the Super Sports Arrow or "Golden Arrow" in 1961. Both models dispensed with the enclosure of the Leader and adopted a revised dummy tank that incorporated the headlamp brackets and a conventional rear mudguard. Recently unearthed in a shed alongside a number of other machines, this 1962 Ariel Arrow is rumoured to have a competition past. However, there is no evidence to support this conjecture. Self-evidently incomplete, the motorcycle could be used as the basis of a restoration project or as a source of spares. Offered for sale without reserve or paperwork. Lot 335

Registration No: XVM 33S Frame No: TRW29145NA MOT: ExemptOriginally presented TRW military bikeSupplied on MOD contact number 3231Includes 3 workshop manuals and a V5CTriumph is one of the most iconic and revered names in the history of motorcycling. Established in Coventry in 1885, by the start of the 1900s the company had made their first motorcycle, beginning a continuous run of production under various ownership until its eventual closure in 1983. In 1937 the Edward Turner-designed Speed Twin was released launching a range of Triumph twins that went on to epitomise British motorcycles in the post-war years. The TRW was designed by Bert Hopwood in the early 1940s, primarily for use by the armed forces in WW2. It was based on the existing Speed Twin but with a cheaper to manufacture and maintain side valve top end and a sturdy rigid frame to carry extra weight. Not helped by the Coventry factory being bombed in 1940 necessitating a move to a brand new factory in Meriden, by the time it was ready to go into production the war was over. However, Edward Turner realised there was still a demand for simple durable military vehicles, so full production started in 1948 with not only the British armed forces but many Commonwealth countries using the TRW until the 1960s. This TRW, being offered at 'no reserve', is from a deceased estate, so not much is known of its history. According to the frame number and the brass plate on the chainguard it was built in October 1964 and supplied to the MOD on contract number 3231. Offered in original condition still showing its military number stencilled on the headlamp nacelle, it has been stood for a number of years but the engine turns over on the kickstarter. It appears to have been first registered in civilian use in 1978 and comes supplied with rear pannier frames, some workshop manuals and a current V5C. Lot 317

Registration No: GCW 56S Frame No: 80446 MOT: ExemptOriginal and unrestored 1978 'B' modelGenuine chrome 3-into-4 exhaust systemIn running order, supplied with a V5CThe Suzuki Motor Co. was established in 1909 by Michio Suzuki to produce machinery for the cotton industry. An initial diversification into 4-wheeled transport was curtailed by WW2 but after the war, Japan had a need for cheap reliable transport, so Suzuki, like a lot of others around the world, began to produce clip-on engines for pushbikes. These proved to be an immediate success and soon they were making full motorcycles and by the early '60s were second only to Honda in number of two-wheelers manufactured. In the early 1970s the GT380, GT550 and GT750 three-cylinder range was launched, proving to be 'the last hurrah' for the large capacity two-stroke engine before strict emission regulations in the USA spelled their end. The GT750 was the first mass-produced water-cooled road bike and formed the basis of the famous 'Flexi Flyer' Formula 750 race bike that set Barry Sheene on the path to world championship glory. Nicknamed the 'Kettle' due to its water-cooled engine, the GT750 was launched in 1972 as Suzuki's entry into the new Superbike class. This mostly original and unrestored example is a 1978 'B' model, easily distinguished by its black side panels, headlamp shell, brackets and a GS750 style front mudguard together with Brown faces on the instruments. The threat of impending emission regulations caused the demise of large capacity two-strokes, so this bike spelled the end of an era. Supplied with a current V5C and recently fitted with a new front mudguard and seat cover, it started and ran well whilst being photographed (see video). A still appreciating classic that can hold its own in modern day road conditions, to enjoy on Vintage runs and rallies. Registration No: Unregistered Frame No: 01630002 MOT: ExemptExtremely original with one reported owner from newVery rare to find a 42L2 like this Last on the road in 1977 confirmed by tax discDouglas Vespas have in recent times emerged with a special rarity and collectability status. The 42L2 although still a ‘handlebar’ Vespa was a new design and a departure from the previous Douglas Vespa models; The Rod model, and Model G and GL2 which had the headlight precariously perched on the front of the leg shield. The many changes on the new ‘world scooter’ design saw a new headlamp layout on the handlebars with a speedometer incorporated and the control switch and various engine improvements were introduced throughout. These brought the British Vespas up to a parity with the then other ‘world scooters’, the Italian ‘Struzzo’ and French ACMA V56 amongst others. The British Douglas scooters were however painted in different and unique colours from the rest of the world. The 42L2 much rarer with its shorter fuel tank than the 92L2 was uniquely sold with a bench seat as standard. We present here a magnificent 42L2 in totally original and correct condition. Discovered in a probate house clearance it was purchased from the daughter of a lady who had used it up until she had a spill in 1977 which was when it was last on the road, although with the speedometer mileage at 19,133 miles she was certainly used well. Stored in a dry garage since, we note the original dealer motif is present from Moss Ltd of Cambridge. This originality is rare to see. The original bench seat cover is in remarkably good condition. Solid and showing no signs of repair, the running in transfer is still visible. The original Lucas electrical equipment lights and lenses including battery are all present. We note that all over the machine it is exactly how it came out of the factory save some wash paint over the side panels which will almost certainly be easily be removed. Engine number matches the chassis and the originality stretches to the original D Douglas hand grips and even the original Pirelli tyres. It's understood the number 'RCE 88' could be retained with the aid of a dating certificate from the VVC of which one is included. In 2001, three years after the launch of the Rover 75, and less than a year after the demerger of MG Rover from BMW, the MG ZT and MG ZT-T were launched. During the cars' development, the models were codenamed X10 and X11, for the saloon and estate versions, respectively. The basic shape and styling of the MG ZT remained the same as for the Rover 75 but with changes to the front bumper, now with an integrated grille, and detail alterations including colour coding of the chromed waistline, a new boot lid plinth, and different alloy wheels and tyres sizes. During the first few months of 2004, MG Rover facelifted the design of the ZT and ZT-T to a less retro look, at the same time as the Rover 75 received a facelift. This didn't feature much in the way of mechanical differences to the ZT, most changes were merely aesthetic. The main changes to the car included the replacement of the twin headlamps, with a new, clear single headlamp unit. Between 2003 and 2006 the top of the ZT range, and the rarest, was rear wheel drive and powered by the Ford 4601cc V8 engine giving 300bhp, 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.Originally registered on 16th January 2006, this Rover ZT-T presents well in black with a black interior. These are great cars to drive with endless power available, a relatively unassuming vehicle from the outside, with the only visible feature being the large bore exhausts. However, start the engine and suddenly you become aware of the Ford Mustang 4.6 litre V8 under the bonnet. This is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox making this a true drivers car and one to really enjoy on the open road. Performance is put at 260bhp and 407NM of torque. Manufactured in relatively small numbers, it is thought less than 200 were produced, meaning this could well prove to be a shrewd purchase. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate. A stylish estate car best described as ‘a wolf in sheep’s’ clothing’. Consigned by Stewart Banks.A RARE MG ESTATE THAT IS FITTED WITH A 4.6 LITRE V8 MUSTANG ENGINEA GREAT FUN CAR TO DRIVE AND TOTALLY UNASSUMING.

2017 Ducati Scrambler Classic Registration Number: SE17 DXS Frame Number: 1N5000629 Engine Number: 1N5000629 - Many desirable upgrades - Two owners, under 1,700 miles from new Originally Ducati’s brand name for a series of single cylinder ‘scrambler’ motorcycles made for the American market from 1962 until 1974, the Scrambler’s creation is attributed to the American Berliner Motor Corporation. The model was later revived in 2015 as Ducati's modern-classic styled motorcycle, blending styling cues from various 1960s and ’70s Ducati singles, together with modern computer-aided design and manufacturing, electronic fuel injection, also vastly better performance, ride, handling and braking than their forebears offered.  The Scrambler Classic features an air-cooled, desmodromic 803cc V-twin developing a claimed 73 bhp for strong performance, wire-spoke wheels with black rims, a black inverted fork, frame, and swingarm, single front and rear disc brakes with ABS, and broad, two-passenger seats.  Registered in June 2017 this exceptionally nice two-owner example has been significantly improved by our current vendor. Acquired in June 2021 with just 778 miles recorded, the Scrambler was upgraded to a Flat Tracker style using all genuine Ducati parts (at a cost of over £3,000 in parts/painting alone), the only exceptions being an HP Course Exhaust Silencer, and number plate Tail Tidy. The following original Ducati factory parts were fitted: CNC aluminium sprocket cover, alloy chain guard, scrambler café racer brown seat, factory heated grips, seat cover, side body panels, under seat cover panels and brackets, headlamp cowl and fitting kit, adjustable brake and clutch lever kit, and a rear master cylinder relocation bracket. Other additions include LED turn indicators, belly pan protective plate, full throttle tapered handlebars and handlebar yoke sets, factory Ducati battery conditioner, Ducati Scrambler bike cover and key ring All factory Scrambler Classic parts have been removed but are included in the sale, such as the dual seat and silencer. New tyres have recently been supplied and fitted by Ducati Ferndown in Dorset. With an odometer reading at time of writing of 1,643 miles, this super Scrambler is offered complete with full Ducati main dealer service history, Datatag, valid MoT certificate to July 2025, factory toolkit, handbooks and all keys. All-in-all a fantastically well presented and uprated example of a modern classic, offered for sale at a fraction of its original purchase and upgrade cost.

1981 BMW R100T Registration Number:  MWV111W Frame Number: 6075650 Engine Number: 6075650 Introduced in 1979, the BMW R100T was one of several models derived from the R100 series, designed to offer a blend of long-distance touring capability and everyday usability. Production lasted until 1980, with a total of 5,640 units built. The R100T shared its underpinnings with the standard R100 model, part of BMW’s air-cooled boxer twin lineage that spanned two decades from 1976 to 1996. At its heart was a 980cc four-stroke, twin-cylinder engine producing 70 hp at 7,250 rpm and 77 Nm of torque—figures that ensured smooth, reliable performance for both solo and two-up riding. The R series have ages beautifully with the classic round headlamp and analog instruments. This totally original example still features its one-piece dual seat with grab rail, and the rare factory side-mounted pannier, snowflake-style multi-spoke aluminum wheels and twin-silencer exhaust system. Offered for light restoration after several years off the road. A fine example of BMW’s boxer tradition, now highly sought-after for enthusiasts and collectors.

1976 Yamaha XT500  Registration Number: NCV 640R Frame Number: TBC - One of the first shipments to arrive in Europe - Two owners from new - Restored in current ownership Among Yamaha’s motorcycle lineup in 1976 was a model with a big single-cylinder engine: the XT500 dual-purpose machine. What grew out of this were the “engine brands” that now symbolize Yamaha. On the American West Coast in the 1970s, enduro riding that involved traversing the vast plains and deserts of the country over several hours was popular among young riders. Yamaha was only selling 2-stroke models at the time and there were clear calls from the market for a 4-stroke model. To answer this demand, Yamaha developed the enduro-specific TT500 model. Designed, developed and released alongside the TT500 was the XT500.  Customers wanted powerful torque for enduro competition and the torque of a large displacement single-cylinder engine was the key to deliver this. The XT500 found a particularly strong following in France and Italy as a machine for beach rallies and the desert rallies of West Africa. An XT500 rider won the first Paris-Dakar Rally in 1979 as well as the second, soon turning it into the rally machine of choice. The XT500 evolved into the 4-valved XT550, and later, the XT600 Ténéré equipped with a big 30-liter fuel tank. “Ténéré” refers to a desert in Niger and Chad that covers over 400,000 square kilometers. One of the earliest examples to be imported into Europe, this 1976 XT500 was bought new from dealer R.S. Damerell of St.Austell by a Mr.John Salter, who put the bike to good use for six years on MCC, ACTC, and TRF events. By then it was due for overhaul, so it was replaced by a Kawasaki, and retired to the garage. Some 38 years later with the bike untouched, John sadly passed on, and so in 2020 the XT found itself in new ownership, and restoration commenced.  The frame was cleaned, stripped and powder coated, the forks stripped and re-assembled with new seals, gaiters and steering head bearings. The wheels were treated to new bearings, spokes, brake shoes, tyres and tubes. New rims were later fitted, at the time the rear hub cush drive rubbers and centre bush were replaced with phosphor bronze items. The engine was dismantled, rebored, fitted with a new piston, conrod, big end and main bearings and timing chain. The gearbox was overhauled with double roller mainshaft bearing, and a new kickstart ratchet guide. A new Micron high level exhaust has been fitted, and the electrics overhauled with a modern H4 headlamp unit, front and rear LED bulbs, Electrex World electronic ignition and a 12 volt generator. The rusty fuel tank was cleaned and refinished, and internally lined with POR15 sealer. The mudguards (fitted in first ownership) are Preston Pettys, the originals are available along with the rear light, chain-guard and twin cable throttle. The saddle was recovered by Leightons. Built by our owner to use, the Yamaha is in tidy and mechanically sound but not concours condition. Since being rebuilt it’s been used on two trials and some road work, covering around 1,000 miles in total. Offended with original sales receipts, service manual, spares book and a Haynes manual, this is a genuine example of one of the classic enduro bikes of the 1970s.

Lot 501

A genuine period Trans-Am car driven by John Hall from the early 1970s and prepared and campaigned successfully by the current long term owner in the UK and North America in more recent times. Offered here is a very special period Boss 302 Mustang that was campaigned by John Hall in the early 1970s in the well known SCCA Trans-Am series. There is a list of period results below and the car is accompanied by a large history file detailing much of its history. There is simply too much to list here, so we recommend interested parties come along and see the car and history file for themselves or call our car specialist for further details. The current owner is a real V8 enthusiast and this example has formed part of his prominent racing stable since 2003. He spent a lot of his time in the US during the early part of his ownership, enjoying much success at circuits such as Lime Rock and Watkins Glen, with results included in the file. The Mustang was then shipped to the UK in 2013 as the owner lives over here and after being prepared to European-spec, has been raced competitively in Europe ever since, including circuits such as Spa and Silverstone. The car has been the recipient of significant investment in recent years, including an engine refresh by Peter Knight, fitment of AST custom dampers, a new clutch and more. It's powered by a 337ci 'stroker' with ported Boss 302 heads, roller valvetrain  and a dry-sump.  The car has obviously been prepared to a high standard by Richard Moore (Moore Racing) as is evident from its consistent results over the years and there are a good number of spares accompanying the car including two body panels, L+R front headlamp surrounds and three spare diffs with different ratios. By separate negotiation, there is also a brand new FIA 302 V8 by Peter Knight. It's currently finished in white and wearing the period correct 'Boss GTX 302' livery applied originally for the very successful 1972 season.Quite simply, this is an extremely rare opportunity to own a period race car with continuous history that is available for the first time in 22 years and offers access into some of the best historic motorsport around the globe. Estimated very competitively when you consider the quality and provenance on offer, we welcome and encourage your earliest enquiry.SCCA Trans American Championship (known as Trans-Am);September 20, 1970-Kent, Washington DNF Placed 23 of 30 carsOctober 4, 1970 -Riverside, California Placed 13thJune 20, 1971 -Edmonton International Speedway Placed 9thJuly 4, 1972 -Donnybrook, Brainerd, Minnesota Placed 32ndJuly 16, 1972 -Elkhart Lake (Road America), Wisconsin Placed 24thOther US races entered in period;May 3, 1970 -Canadian, Oregon, Washington, Pacific, Amateur Championship (COWPAC)October 10, 1971 -Province 500 7 hours Endurance Race at Westwood, BC-finished 2ndApril 29, 1972 -COWPAC Westwood, BCJune 4, 1972 -COWPAC Westwood, BCOctober 6, 1972 -PIR National Rose Cup, Portland, OregonJune 23, 1972 -Olympia June Sprints, SCCA National, Laguna Seca Raceway, CaliforniaSpecification Make: FORD Model: BOSS MUSTANG Year: 1970 Chassis Number: 0F02GIB1933 Registration Number: N/A Transmission: Manual Drive Side: Left-hand Drive Make: LHDClick here for more details and images

Registration No: ESV 934 Chassis No: 5562133378 MOT: ExemptBelieved all original example that still wears its livery of Metallic Green over Light Green plain broad-cloth upholsteryImported to the UK in 1984 and then laid up in dry storage until nowOffered as an exciting non-running projectDisplaying a c.25,837 miles on the odometer (not warranted)Styling and horsepower were the watchwords of '50s American car design and no examples epitomised the thinking more than the voluptuous Harley Earl-penned Cadillacs. For the lower, sleeker body of the Series 62 model introduced in 1953, the effect of the distinctive tailfins that had been the company's hallmark since 1948 were heightened by: a redesigned grille with heavier integral bumper and tapered dagmar-style bumper guards, prominent headlamp eyebrows, smoothly curved one-piece rear window and a fresh design of full-size chrome wheel trim. Cadillac changed their grille design every year, but in 1955, the grille was redesigned with wider spaces between the blades and the parking lamps were repositioned directly below the headlights. On the sides of the body the rub-rail moldings formed a right angle with the vertical trim on the rear doors or fenders. Built for the 1955 model year, little is known of the early history of chassis number 5562133378, but evidence suggests that the car spent its early life around the Philadelphia, PA area thanks to a Keystone Automobile Club sticker on the rear valence. The vendor and long-term current owner discovered this remarkably original car for sale on a trip to the US in the early 1980s and imported it back home to the UK via the Liverpool docks. When the Cadillac arrived, it was immediately registered in the UK as 'ESV 934' and driven back from Liverpool to its long-term home in East London before immediately being laid up in dry storage until late December 2024 when the decision was made by the vendor to sell it. The storage conditions have done wonders to preserve the car in its original Metallic Green paint scheme and the original duo-tone Green broad-cloth interior has also survived intact (albeit with some small repairs to perform where 70-year-old stitching has let go). Now offered as a very exciting project, 'ESV 934' is described by the vendor as being 'surely the most original example of its type in the UK which remains very solid'. We are sure that any prospective purchaser would be hard pressed to decide whether to sympathetically recommission the mechanical parts and run it in 'oily rag' guise or to use this un-messed with example to conduct a full restoration. To be offered without reserve, this Elvis-era '55 'Caddy' is supplied with UK V5C and registration plates, hub caps and rear-wheel spats, original jack and a charming period set of snow chains in their original Allstate box. Registration No: WKY 557K Chassis No: 2211851 MOT: September 2025Subject to an older, extensive restorationUnderstood to have covered c.116,000 milesOffered with original green logbook and the original service bookIn current family ownership for some 40 yearsBMW's so called 'new class' compact Saloons and Coupes manufactured between 1962 and 1975 quite simply saved the company from extinction. Introduced in 1965, the 2000C and 2000CS Coupes featured distinctive-looking Karmann-built bodies and luxurious interiors and, having set a trend, were superseded in 1968 by the first of the E9 Coupes - the 2800CS. The length and wheelbase of the newcomer were extended to accommodate the 2788cc straight-six engine from the E3 Saloon, and the nose of the Karmann monocoque body was restyled to echo that of its four-door sibling. The fully independent suspension was by MacPherson struts up front and semi-trailing arms at the rear. Braking was still by disc/drums and the steering by a power-assisted ball and nut system. The 2800CS was supplanted by the 3.0CS and 3.0CSi in 1971, for which the engine was bored out to give a capacity of 2986cc. In CS guise, the silky-smooth six-cylinder engine had an output of 180bhp, which was sufficient to rush the handsome Coupe to 60mph in 7.9 seconds and on to a top speed of over 120mph. The average fuel consumption was quoted as 21mpg.In current family ownership for some 40 years, the 3.0 CS has been owned by the vendor and his brother since 1983. Supplied new by Lazenby Garages Ltd, Leicestershire in 1972, it is understood to have covered the displayed c.116,000 miles since 1972.The 3.0 CS presents as an older restoration that was initiated by the vendor and carried out c.1987 at their chosen garage, at a total cost of £6,444.45 (over £17,500 today) and included £3,400 in labour, £2,561.50 for parts, £482.95 in paint and a detail of the paint once complete. Although 37 years have passed, it is worth noting the extent of the 1987 restoration work included new metal and new panels where necessary. This included inner wings, a front panel, headlamp back panels, floor pans, inner sills, inner wheel arches, the rear bulkhead, attention paid to the axle mounts and shock absorber turret tops, rear quarter panels, rear lower valance panel, new door skins and the use of Waxoyl in cavities and stone-chip applied to vulnerable areas. The restoration concluded with a paint in the original colour, believed to be Polaris Silver Metallic. The original service book is included along with original green logbook, period BMW Europa service station map, Haynes manual and various service information, a collection of invoices dating back to the 1980s, a collection of MOTs back to the 1980s and a garage prepared description of work done. The 3.0 CS is offered with the original service book and an original old green logbook on file and current V5C on file. Lot 55

Registration No: F457 XWP Chassis No: WP0ZZZ92ZJS840533 MOT: NoneJust 77,200 miles from new as supported by twenty service stamps plus old MOTs and invoicesEntered from a deceased estate and bought by its late (seventh) owner for £24,995 in 2019Subsequently treated to over £8,000 worth of expenditure with Porsche Centre ChesterOffered with book pack including handbooks and the stamped service bookLast serviced in June 2023 (c.100 miles ago)Introduced at the 1977 Geneva Motor Show, the 928 was conceived (and priced) as the flagship of the Porsche range. A luxurious GT, it was styled in-house by American Tony Lapine as a replacement for the ageing, compromised 911. Ultimately, it failed to usurp its tail-heavy sibling despite becoming the only sports car ever to win the European Car of the Year title in 1978. Built around a galvanised steel monocoque, it made extensive use of aluminium for its wheels, doors, bonnet, transaxle housing, front suspension wishbones, rear suspension uprights, upper links and main cross member. This practice not only saved weight but also contributed to the near perfect 49:51 weight distribution. Available with a choice of manual or automatic transmission (housed in its award-winning passive rear steer Weissach transaxle) the 928 was regarded as a crushingly capable Grand Tourer. The subject of a continual development programme, it evolved through S and S2 guises before the arrival of the S4 version in Autumn 1986 (the 'S3' being a US market only model). Reputedly capable of 0-60mph in 6.3 seconds and 165mph, the newcomer was powered by an enlarged 4957cc DOHC 32-valve V8 that developed some 316bhp and 317lbft of torque. Equipped with air conditioning as standard, the aerodynamically improved S4 was visually distinguished by a reprofiled nose and revised tail (the latter incorporating new light clusters and a larger spoiler). Finished in the classic combination of Silver with Black leather upholstery, this UK market (C16) example was supplied new via Charles Follett Ltd of London to G. MacKay Esq. Equipped with an electric sunroof, Blaupunkt stereo and automatic transmission, the 2+2-seater is warranted to have covered some 77,000 miles from new. The twenty stamps in its accompanying service book begin and end with Porsche main dealer entries. Entered from a deceased estate, the late owner became the Coupe’s seventh keeper when he bought it from SJ Specialist Cars Ltd of Wigan on 30th March 2019. Despatched to Porsche Centre Chester at the end of that same year, ‘F457 XWP’ had attention paid to its fuel system, exhaust, undertray, rear windscreen wiper spark plugs, headlamp washers and brakes (new discs and pads all round) plus a service at a cost of £6,519.34. Little used since returning to the same garage for another bout of maintenance at 77,104 miles on June 8th 2023 (£969.43), the 928 S4 was noted to be losing coolant during our recent photography session. An enticing prospect despite the need for some recommissioning, this handsome, low mileage 928 S4 is offered with the V5C Registration Document, original book pack, Porsche-branded in-car telephone and assorted old MOTs and invoices. Registration No: YK58 OUE Chassis No: WDB2304582F153799 MOT: September 2025Only 1 owner from newWarranted under 35,000 miles from newFinished in Obsidian Black paintwork with Black leather interiorSupplied with the book pack with documented service historyThe R230 was introduced in 2001 and continued the evolution of SL with smoother body design and new peanut-shaped headlamp design. The fifth-generation SL-Class featured a 'Vario Roof' retractable hardtop, Active Body Control (ABC) active suspension system, Keyless Go keyless entry and smart key, and Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) electro-hydraulic power brake system. In 2008, the R230 SL underwent a significant facelift featuring new and revised engines and a new front end that evoked the classic 300 SL with a large grille, a prominent three-pointed star and twin "power domes" on the bonnet. It also features new headlights, which give the car the modern look it enjoys with an optional "Intelligent Light System" and a new speed sensitive steering system.Manufactured in 2008, this early facelift SL 350 example was road registered new on the 17th of October that year to its first owner and has been retained by that lady since, and until recently has always worn a private registration number. Well specified from new with five-spoke alloy wheels, heated electric memory seats, Mercedes COMAND APS, climate control, tyre pressure sensors, heated screen wash system, bi-xenon headlamps, and Parktronic, the ‘YK58 OUE’ is finished in Obsidian Black paintwork with Black leather interior and ‘Black Ash’ wood trim, the roof features a Panoramic sunroof.Offered now having covered a warranted under 35,000 miles from new, the SL has benefitted from a recent new battery as well as a full service in September this year and was provided with an MOT at the same time which is passed without any advisories. Accompanied by a history file that contains the book pack, collection of service invoices, current V5C document, and two sets of keys. A wonderful balance of sport, technology, and luxury, low mileage and ownership examples of the second-generation R230 are potentially a smart investment for the future. Lot 36

Registration No: 929 WML Chassis No: B321BR MOT: November 2025Lavishly maintained whilst in the ownership of a preeminent trauma surgeon for whom reliability was paramount (including the fitment of a factory exchange engine less than 10,000 miles ago)Significantly improved since last being retailed by renowned dealer Frank Dale & Stepsons for £51,000Detailed history file with service records dating back to 1965Worthy of close inspectionLaunched in 1959, the Bentley S2 and its sister car the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II were seemingly visually interchangeable with the outgoing S1 and Cloud I models. Although, underpinned by the same chassis layout as their predecessors (complete with independent coil and wishbone front suspension, a leaf-sprung 'live' rear axle and all-round, servo-assisted drum brakes), the duo boasted an all-new powerplant. Rolls-Royce's first V8 engine since the Edwardian 30HP 'Legalimit', the 6230cc unit gave notable improvements in both power and flexibility. Suddenly, these wonderfully elegant if un-aerodynamic saloons were capable of close to 120mph via their four-speed automatic gearboxes. A strong sales success, especially in the USA, the Cloud II's introduction led David Ogilvy's advertising agency to produce the classic tag line "At 60 mph the loudest noise in this new Rolls-Royce comes from the electric clock".According to its accompanying RREC copy build records, chassis B321BR was completed with various ‘special features’ including: a steering wheel mounted headlamp dipping switch, B-post marker lights and electric windows. Supplied new via Jack Barclay Ltd to the prosperous textile merchant Herbert Kreuzer Esq on April 28th 1960, the Bentley initially carried his personalised number plate ‘TYE 11’. Registered to the London SW1 pied-a-terre address of E.L. Windsor Esq four years later, the S2 is understood to have subsequently belonged to B.D. Ely Esq and Leslie Wheeler Esq before being bought by the eminent orthopaedic and trauma surgeon Mr John Miles Kingsmill-Moore from Sunningdale Motors of Ascot on December 9th 1992. Initially entrusting the saloon’s maintenance to Derek Jarman, Mr Kingsmill-Moore then used marque specialist Royce Service & Engineering to ensure that the chances of him breaking down en route to an operating theatre were as minimal as possible. To this end the power steering and suspension were overhauled, the brakes rejuvenated, an exchange engine obtained directly from the Crewe factory and the heater matrix renewed etc. Substantially improved since it was last retailed by the renowned dealer Frank Dale & Stepsons for £51,000 in July 2021, chassis B321SR now rides on Avon tyres all round and has had its original Tan leather upholstery and Wilton carpets deep cleaned. Indeed, the hides have been so successfully rejuvenated by the ex-Connolly Bros craftsmen at Leathercare that they almost look to have been replaced. Having covered less than 10,000 miles on its factory replacement powerplant (the associated cost of which totalled £14,194.72) and had far more spent on it than most surviving S2s, this delightful Bentley is worthy of close inspection as its detailed, chronological history file which lists maintenance as far back as 1965!
