A pair of mid 19th century Meissen figures depicting a lady and gentleman with sporting guns and dogs. The gentleman with a green tunic and fancy gilt laced waistcoat, the lady with an olive green jacket and cream dress with gilt work leaves on. Both with black tricorn hats. Raised on round plinth bases. Some damage to hands of both figures and chips and restoration to lady's hat. Impressed 19 & J80 & J81 to base. 9.5" high.
A pair of unusual Staffordshire porcelain figures of actors, one wearing a tail coat, and holding a hat behind his back, the other a shoe shine, each decorated in coloured enamels, the scroll moulded green ground shaped rectangular bases picked out in gilt, 19cm high (7 1/2"), circa 1830-40 (some glaze flaking, one re-attached to base)

WILLIAM DOUGLAS (1780-1832) PORTRAIT OF ROBERT WAUCHOPE (c.1795-1852) Standing full length, within the grounds of his estate, wearing a black jacket with frilled shirt and cream trousers, a hat on the ground to his left, holding a golf club, a ball near a hole to his right, signed and dated 1803 (or 1808?), watercolour 29.5 x 23cm. ++ Good colour; gilt frame; needs a light clean.
CANADIAN SCHOOL (?), mid 19th Century PORTRAIT OF A GENTLEMAN Standing, full length, wearing a dark cape with badges to the shoulders and ornamental fastening, holding a top hat, on the shores of a lake, two men (one similarly dressed) with a long boat beyond, indistinctly signed and dated "18 Juin 1850"(?), watercolour and pencil, unframed 35.5 x 26.5cm. ++ Good; slight foxing.

BEILBY PORTEUS, DD, BISHOP OF LONDON Seated half length, wearing a black coat and hat, blue jacket, oil on canvas 74 x 61cm. ++ Relined; craquelure consistent with age, carved gilt wood frame. Engraved: in mezzotint by S. W. Reynolds, a copy of which accompanies this lot. There is a further small engraving of Porteus (artist unknown) in the lot.
