Paradise Toys (Japan) celluloid Donald Duck figure riding a tinplate clockwork tricycle, made in the 1930's for the British market, with integral key, untested, includes the fluttering Union Flag to rear. The figure still has the "Paradise by permission of Walt Disney Mickey Mouse Limited" label on top of hat, the celluloid Donald Duck figure has a painted hat (slight dent to hat) and shirt, and still has his fabric trousers. Some light age related wear but otherwise a Good Plus scarce example which has survived remarkably well, 5"/12cm high.

Military Interest- Rare WW1 German Naval hat tally for S.M.S. Emden. Including a WW1 Princess Mary Christmas gift tin and original best wishes card. The Emden was a Dresden Class light cruiser, commissioned 1909 which gained quick notoriety at the start of the war for sinking 21 allied vessels. The Emden was finally grounded and destroyed in November 1914 at the Cocos Islands. Several films have been made about the ship including the 1915 "How we beat the Emden". Hat tally- 110cm long x 3.2cm wide. Tin- 13cm wide x 8.5cm deep x 3cm high.

There are no major losses. There is soiling and discoloration throughout the yellow areas. There is craquelure throughout, in particular throughout the upper right quadrant and the lower left quadrant. There is a spiral crack in the center of the lower half. There are signs of restoration throughout, in particular around the figure's top hand, along the shins, along the lower edge on both sides surrounding the figure and along the margin of the left side. There is wear along the extreme edges of the canvas.
