A fine exhibition standard 5 inch gauge model of 4-6-2 London Midland and Scottish Princess Royal Class tender locomotive No 6201 ‘Princess Elizabeth’, based on the William Stanier design in 1933, the silver soldered copper boiler with detailed back-head fittings including steam pressure gauge, twin water sight-glasses with associated copper pipework, regulator, screw direction control, lever operated fire-box door, brake gear, simulated plank flooring to cab, safety valves and injector. The chassis with twin outside cylinders having Walschaert’s valve gear, cylinder drains with associated copper pipe-work, fluted motion and fitted whistle. The 4000-gallon six-wheel tender with coal compartment and water pump. The model is finished in traditional ‘crimson lake’ lined livery with detailed rivet-work, fitted steps, hand irons, lamp irons, vacuum hoses and couplings. LMS builders and number plates. Locomotive length 208cm. Cab width 26cm. This fine locomotive comes together with a polished hardwood glazed case on floor stand with fitted display track. A fine exhibition standard 7 ¼ inch gauge model of a Great Western Railway King Class 4-6-0 tender locomotive No 6027 ‘King Richard I’, the locomotive with fine scale back head, stain-less steel fire grate, ash pan being four lever operational on both front and rear dampers from inside the cab, the silver soldered copper boiler with fittings including scale steam pressure gauge, scale vacuum gauge, scale water sight gauge, regulator with lubrication linkage, lever operated fire box doors, direction control, drivers seats, associated copper pipework. Four rows radiant stain-less steel super heater expansion joints connected to cylinder steam entry. The cab with removable hard wood flooring, cylinder drain cocks operated from cab, oil feed hydrostatic cylinder lubrication via needle valve, sight glasses to all four cylinders via oil feed tank situated below cab floor. Hydro mechanical oil lubrication actuated from the regulator to inside valve gear and axillary moving parts via cam operated oil feed header module supplied by cylindrical lubrication oil feed tank with outside filler cap situated within the frames.The chassis with twin outside and twin inside cylinders having associated valve gear, stainless steel connecting rods, two live steam water feed injectors, leaf springs to driving wheels, vacuum brakes to locomotive and tender, vacuum reservoirs fitted to engine and tender with fitted train pipe. Axillary mechanical vacuum pump fitted between frames, vacuum limit valve and cylinder relief valves to all cylinders, The six-wheel tender with fitted vacuum brakes, water tank, fitted tool boxes and working coal door. Removable foot rests fitted to tender chassis and drivers padded seat.The model finished in Great Western Railways green passenger lined livery with detailed rivet-work, polished bright-work, fitted steps, hand-irons and lamp irons with lamps.Length 266cm.
