A mid Century French floor lamp by Jean Rispal designed in 1950. Teak body with metal legs, theform is commonly known as the ‘Giraffe’ model due to its shape. Please note this has been rewired for the UK in 2016. Wiring to be checked by a professional tradesman prior to use. Sold as found.

The attribution of this lamp to Lievre is based upon the use of mythological animals, foliage and scrolling mounts which are seen as typical of his work and that are found on other items with a known attribution, including a pair of vases sold through Bonhams New Bond Street, 4th December 2008, lot 152 and the Persian Vase cast by Barbedienne and exhibited at the Paris 1878 Universal Exhibition.
A Tiffany style stained glass standing floor lamp with bronzed base & column, and a "spear tip" top. The lamp has twin bulb fixtures and floor / foot operated on/off button. The intricately made shade has the classic dragonfly pattern around the lower edge. Measures approximately 168cm tall and the shade is approximately 46cm diameter.
