Brass barrel with shallow surface knock. Badge in fine condition, wire helix with minor surface rust but still sharp point, the action working smoothly

An early 19th Century French burr elm and brass mounted Palais Royal sewing/travel box of rectangular form, brass shield escutcheon and lid plaque, the tooled leather lid interior fitted with a removable easel mirror revealing a letter compartment with printed label. “Hebert, Palais Royal, Galerie de Pierre No 20 cóte de la rue de la Lot’. The lower section fitted with six silver lidded jars and bottles, one chipped to neck, one chipped to stopper rim, a silver eye bath and a silver perfume funnel, arranged around a pair of flush fitted tooled leather trays, the upper with gilt mounted ivory fittings comprising a pair of knitting needle protectors, a pen, a cylinder needlecase, a tambour hook lacking end cover, a single blade folding knife, and with replacement steel scissors and corkscrew. The lower tray with conforming fittings comprising ivory thimble, stiletto, folding rule, reversible crochet hook, awl, eraser, tweezer/earspoon, horn handle toothbrush, outer box poorly finished, 24.2 x 13.5 x 9cm
A Victorian brass cylindrical corkscrew by Robert Jones & Son No 2, the plain cylinder with raised banded decoration and inscribed "Robert Jones S & Son Makers 105 Cheapside Birmingham", with Victorian kite mark verso, the rosewood handle with brush missing, 15 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Looks to have been in poor state and somewhat restored. Handle haas been badly damaged. Chips, losses, scratches and splits and subsequently re-varnished perhaps. There is no bruch. The metal ware is generally rusty under the Robert Jones & Son stamp. An area has been scratched off vigorously. Various further scratches and marks, pitted marks to the body. An area of rust to the top of the brass barrel. Interior shows rusting. The two spikes that come down either side of the screw appear to have been bent and the screw itself appears not to have the whole length and has been broken and lost. The iron shaft with corrosion and rust and pitted marks. All over considerable signs of wear and tear - see images for further details. Considerable signs of wear and tear throughout, not in good condition. Also extreme wear to the screw attached to the handle, missing section, rust pitted etc
A 19th Century brass corkscrew, the cylinder with ringed decoration and domed shoulders, enclosing a single twist action and plain helix with a turned rosewood handle (brush missing), 18.5 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Damage to the handle, various splits, scratches, scuffs, marks, small chips. Damage to the non-brush end and may have been repaired. No brush. Rusts to the iron ring at the top. Brass screw is worn and pitted, various scratches and scuffs. The body dented, some split type marks. Very worn, scratches and scuffs and small dents to the rim. Rust to the screw and small damage to the end of the screw. Various general signs of wear and tear throughout. Suggest viewing in person
