A vintage (Edwardian era) composite bisque faced doll. marked 'S and Q, 12' Germany - Schutzmeister and Quendt, Articulated limbs and head, with blue sleeper eyes slight damage (eyelashes missing). Doll has 'crying noise' albeit a bit difficult to activate, when reclined. 23 inches dressed in white with dress coat and bonnet.

Marked in red 'Excelsior' JD Kestner mould 161 - 7 Made especially for distribution on the American market. Dressed in a white broderie Analgise dress, with blue ribbon detail with undergarments.

(45.8cm.) high; the second - 13in. (33cm.) high, impressed 518/3K, with weighted eyes, painted hair and features, open mouth showing upper teeth, composition body; the third - 20in. (50.8cm.) high, with weighted blue eyes and painted features, stuffed body & limbs, plastic hands, wearing a long christening gown; together with a smaller doll by the same maker (a/f). (4) * Condition: - AM 300n: nibbles to finger tips, right hand little finger missing, nibbles to all toes, chips to ball joints - bisque head - graze to left cheek area, rubbing to tip of nose, eyelids with paint loss and chips, glue residue to wig area. - AM 518: left thumb missing, nibbles to other fingers, lower torso with cracks and break, loose joints - bisque head - eyelids with paint rubbing, neck area with surface scratching. - 20in doll: body appears good with no major faults - bisque head - eyelids with paint loss and chipping, tiny grazes to both cheeks, back of head with grazes.

(2) * Condition: - K&R: left leg off but present, chips to torso and ball joints, right arm replaced, left little finger missing, rubbing and wear - bisque head with hairline to central forehead area, eye movement sticky, glue residue to wig area. - AB&G: Body and limbs with surface scratches and marks, nibbles to ball joints - bisque head - surface graze to right cheek, eyelids with nibbles and possibly repainted, glue residue to wig area.
