A very rare flintlock gun by Giovanni Maria Loggia dating: first quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Brescia Extraordinary, smooth, round, 16 mm cal. barrel, the visible part is entirely chiselled with the effigy of a figure, masks, trophy, angel, birds, helmet, axe, torch and floral motifs on granulated ground, with foresight; flintlock signed "G. M. LOGIA", chiselled and decorated with brass-plated open-works featuring floral engravings; full stock of antique shape, chiselled with floral motifs and frame, with brass mounts featuring floral engravings. A Ludwigsburg white-glazed figure of a woodcutter 2nd half 18th century, modelled by Johann Jacob Louis, standing with a heavy wooden club in his left hand, an axe slung over his right shoulder, crowned interlaced Cs mark, and a pair of Continental porcelain busts of Classical women, perhaps Italian, modelled with elaborate hairstyles, each raised on a low socle, some damages, 12.2cm max. An armorial wine glass c.1765, the drawn trumpet bowl probably engraved in the 19th century with the crest of a lion rampant, emerging from brick battlements and holding an axe, raised on a double series opaque twist stem, 16.3cm. The crest on this glass appears to be for Sir Richard Quain, 1st Baronet, of 67 Harley Street London. He was a specialist in disorders of the heart, a member of both the Garrick Club and the Athenaeum, and was appointed physician extraordinary to Queen Victoria in 1891.

A group of carved stone cylinder seals comprising: a red stone with a winged quadruple beast facing the sun; a black stone with kneeling anthropomorphic figure holding an axe, fighting a lion with widely opened jaw; a black stone with cuneiform inscription, a central scene with vessel and plants or snakes, triangular decoration to the border; a dark grey stone with two figures, one standing and pointing to the dancing or running figure; a white stone with two lines, lower line with two figures hunting(?"). a quadruple animal, the upper side possibly depicting a domestic scene with two figures; a white stone with a chariot pulled by a pair of horses, behind it a standing figure with raised hand holding an axe(?), a fish behind him. 56.37 grams total, 26-38mm (1 - 1 1/2").
