Nason for Murano bottle and stopper with aventurine decoration, a Finncristall vase, a Mdina axe head vase, unsigned, a lustre glass head decorated with applied decoration, a glass ring holder, a large yellow glass scent bottle and a piece of clear art glass moulded with noughts and crosses and signed indistinctly (9 in lot). Zulu Battle Axe with Engraved Panel, interesting axe with crescent moon axe head, plain tang and rear curved hook spike. Wooden haft with swollen top and tapered bottom. To the centre top section of the haft is a light wood panel which is crudely engraved “24th foot W Ulundi – Zulu 1878”. Axe head 14 ½ cms, haft 76cms. Provenance: purchased by Mick Woodfield at Nottingham Arms Fair in the mid 1980’s.
