Bryan Stevenson carried his briefcase as he handled criminal cases for inmates facing death row in Montgomery, Alabama with his partner Eva Ansley (Brie Larson). This lot consists of three cassette tapes and clear acrylic cases; an aluminum can with an orange Sunkist vinyl sticker; a yellow candy box of Jujyfruits; a black and silver-color plastic General Electric cassette recorder with stereo headphones with orange foam padding; a black and silver-color plastic General Electric AM/FM stereo cassette music system boombox with a handle and metal antenna; 144 pages of paperwork in a binder clip, manila envelope, case folder, and a priority mail express envelope; seven color-printed photos; a metal key, and a leather box briefcase labeled "B'S Hero Case." The recorder and boombox are functional when powered with batteries. This lot exhibits grime and creases on the paperwork, as well as grime and tarnishing on the briefcase and key. SCANNER DARKLY, A (2006) - Cigarette Box, New-Path Recovery Center Badges, Pair of Boxes, and Paperwork - A cigarette box, New-Path Recovery Center badges, a pair of boxes, and paperwork from Richard Linklater's A Scanner Darkly. Senior Officer "Hank" (Winona Ryder) offered a cigarette to "Fred" (Keanu Reeves) after they informed them of the agency's ultimate motive of creating the scramble suit surveillance system. "Hank" later had "Fred" sent to New-Path Recovery Center for his addiction to Substance D. This lot consists of a green, cloth-covered box with a bag of dried herbs, 12 dried herb joints, a packet of cigarette papers, and a red Hit Parade cigarette box; 32 New-Path Recovery Center paper badges with five in laminated sleeves and four featuring profile photos; a blue and green confidential folder for Bob Arctor (Keanu Reeves) with handwritten annotations; three manila folders with handwritten annotations; one black acrylic box; one metal box with a metal key; and three color printed photos of the film poster with two of Robert Downey Jr. as James Barris with his recorder. This lot exhibits loose herbs in the box, as well as discoloration and fold creases to the paperwork. Barris played back an audio recording he acquired between Donna Hawthorne (Winona Ryder) and Bob Arctor (Keanu Reeves) regarding their drug business for Hank. This tape recorder, though different from the one seen on screen, features the audio recording Barris played in the office. This lot consists of a gray plastic Olympus digital voice recorder with a metal side clip and is attached to a gray plastic and black metal Sony speaker system. These devices are functional when each is powered by two AAA batteries. This lot exhibits production distress to the speaker, as well as a missing battery cover on the recorder.
