2005 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Transmission: automaticMileage:43000The Bentley Continental Flying Spur (2006 - 2013) is the second Bentley manufactured since Volkswagen Group purchased the brand in 1999, after the Continental GT. The Flying Spur is essentially a four-door version of the GT, with a longer wheelbase and greater length for more spacious rear seating. The two models are similarly priced and the Flying Spur carries the same twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 used in the Continental GT, for an output of 600bhp. It has a 0 to 60 time of a very impressive 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph. The steering column-mounted paddle shifters enable direct access to the six-speed gearbox when the ZF transmission is in sports mode or the car can be driven at a more leisurely pace in automatic mode. Twelve inches longer than the GT and sharing the same permanent four-wheel drive platform and twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 engine, although it must be said the Flying Spur is not just about eye-watering performance, the cabin is whisper quiet at any speed thanks to the silky engine and the extensive noise insulation measures that extend to double-pane glazing. This Bentley benefits from a full main dealer service history. To drive such a car is a memorable experience, when they have been cosseted in such a way as this example has it enhances the driving experience even further. The specification of a Flying Spur is exceptional with climate control front and rear, heated seats, electric memory seats and air conditioned seats. Finished in silver with black interior and supplied with a V5C registration document together with an Mot test certificate valid until 10th February 2022. This has been an exceptionally well cared for example having had ten services throughout its life all at Bentley main dealers, the last one was carried out by Jack Barclay on 12th March 2018 at 40,410 miles. The ergonomics of a Bentley Flying Spur are superb and the interior is remarkably sumptuous with ample leather and wood. Without doubt this car offers exceptional value for money.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description, this vehicle is offered without reserve.

Lot 177

1956 Citroën 2CV Van Transmission: manualMileage:Ranking alongside the Volkswagen Beetle, Mini and Land Rover as one of the classic mass-produced cars of the post-war era, Citroën's quirky 2CV debuted in 1949. Intended to provide basic transport in a period of post-war austerity, the 2CV outlived its humble beginnings, going on to attain cult status as the favoured car of the environmentally concerned motorist. Although the original 375cc air-cooled flat-twin engine grew, eventually, to 602cc, the 2CV's performance remained modest at around 70mph flat-out, not that that concerned the majority of its devotees for whom the roomy interior, full-length sunroof and frugal fuel consumption were of far greater importance. The 2CV was built in civilian, military and commercial versions, the latter - a small delivery van - being known as the 'Fourgonette', which was first seen in 1951. By the time production ceased in 1990 more than 5 million 2CVs of all types had been made. This left hand drive example of this iconic French model is presented in the state in which it was found in a barn in 2006 in France. The car was then imported to the UK when the body was then removed from the chassis. The floors and sills were replaced together with a new bulkhead and toe board – which are the parts that normally rot on these vehicles. The body was then refitted to the sound, original chassis and the body was left exactly as it was. The engine is running but the car is currently SORN however it does come with a V5 registration document. A fun potential commercial vehicle or just to potter around in but we suggest an element of recommissioning would be a good idea.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 185

2000 Renault Clio II RS (172 Phase 1) Transmission: manualMileage:44900The Renault Clio is a supermini car and was launched in 1990, and entered its fifth generation in 2019. The Clio has had substantial critical and commercial success, being consistently one of Europe's top-selling cars since its launch and it is largely credited with restoring Renault's reputation and stature after a difficult second half of the 1980s. The Clio is one of only two cars, the other being the Volkswagen Golf, to have been voted European Car of the Year twice, in 1991 and 2006. In 1998, Renault launched the Clio Renault Sport (also known as Clio RS for short, named Clio Renault Sport 172; 172 coming from the DIN method metric horsepower measurement), with a 2.0 L 16-valve engine and a top speed of 137 mph and only 1357 were produced. This lovely example of this rare model is presented in Titanium Silver with blue/grey leather and Alcantara interior. It was one of the first UK registered cars of this type and one of only 1,357 produced and being the early model, it has an aluminum body and gear shift light. The car comes with a good service history, Brembo HC front discs, air conditioning, power steering and had its cambelt change at 42,863 miles. These are rare ‘hot hatches’ and this particular example will not disappoint in any respect.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 226

2009 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk. 5 Transmission: automaticMileage:The Volkswagen Golf Mk. 5 was the fifth generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Mk. 4. Sharing the Volkswagen Group A5 platform, it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003 and went on sale in Europe one month later. The Golf Mk. 5 was replaced in 2009 with the Mk. 6. The GTI comes with VW's four-cylinder 2.0L Turbo engine (FSI) which gives it 197 bhp. Transmissions include a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG. The Mk. 5 is now regarded as probably the best incarnation of the legendary GTi after the original Mk. 1 of 1976-1983 and is fast acquiring modern classic status. This superb, very low mileage, one owner from new example of this iconic German ‘hot hatch’ is presented in white with grey GTi check cloth interior. It comes with electric windows, air conditioning and full Volkswagen service history with no fewer than 11 stamps in the service book. Its lively 2.0 litre turbo engine is mated to a six speed automatic DSG gearbox which provides great performance as one would expect from such a car. This is a practical sports hot hatch with five doors, with such incredibly low mileage and in this condition, it is surely one of best on the market today.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

1968 Volvo P1800S Transmission: manualMileage:69420In December 1957, the first handbuilt P1800 prototype was driven to the headquarters of Karmann. Volvo had hoped that Karmann would be able to take on the tooling and building of the P1800 and they were ready to build it which meant that the first cars could hit the market as early as December 1958. But in February, Karmann's most important customer, Volkswagen, forbade Karmann to take on the job as they feared that the P1800 would compete with the sales of their own cars and threatened to cancel all their contracts if they took it on. This setback almost caused the project to be abandoned and it looked doomed until a press release surfaced with a photo of the car, putting Volvo in a position where they had to acknowledge its existence. These events influenced the company to renew its efforts with the car and it was presented to the public for the first time at the Brussels Motor Show in January 1960. Volvo turned to Jensen Motors, whose production lines were under-utilised and they agreed a contract for 10,000 cars. The first production P1800 left Jensen for an eager public after its troubled inception. This lovely example is presented in dark green with a superb new interior in beige, including dashboard, carpets and upholstery. A large history file accompanies this retro classic, containing many receipts and invoices and old MoT test certificates. This model was of course made famous by the 1960s series ‘The Saint’, starring Sir Roger Moore. Interestingly, Jaguar was first offered the opportunity to provide an E-Type for the TV series but declined. Volvo accepted and offered a P1800, leading to increased sales. Initially, they lent two cars for the series, one for static studio shots and the other for moving shots. When the P1800S came along, one of the earlier cars was cut up to allow better interior shots. These cars still turn heads today, displaying that wonderful styling and poise so typical of that era.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 248

2016 Fiat 500 695 Biposto Record Transmission: manualMileage:31189The Fiat 500 is a rear-engined, small city car that was manufactured and marketed from 1957. Some 50 years later, Fiat previewed an all-new three-door hatchback 500 model in March 2007. The design of the 2007 Fiat 500 is based on the 2004 Trepiúno concept car. The new model features distinctive retro styling, following the pattern of the Volkswagen Beetle and BMW Mini, as modern reinterpretation of Dante Giacosa’s 1957 original Fiat 500. Production started in mid-2007 in Fiat facilities in Tychy, Poland. Numerous trim equipment and performance versions are offered. This Fiat 500 Abarth Biposto Record was originally registered on 29th July 2016. This limited model had a run of 133 units, of which, only 39 came to the UK making the car on offer today not only attractive but very rare indeed. The manufacturers figure for this pared-down ‘pocket rocket’ show the weight of this model as only 997kg. It is no wonder that the claimed performance figures achieved from the cars turbocharged 1.4 litre engine are 187bhp and a 0-62 of 5.9 seconds. The vendor has owned this stunning car from new and tells us that it really is as much fun to drive as the figures suggest. The bright yellow paintwork, Abarth badging and embossed Alcantara seats make this Fiat a real head turner. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 22nd July 2021, this Abarth is ready to put a smile on a new owners face. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
