1965 Volkswagen ‘Split Screen’ Deluxe ’21 Window’ Microbus – one family ownerReg. no. DYB 907CChassis no. 245113036Engine no. UnknownThe Volkswagen Type 2 was introduced in 1950 as a multi-variant utility vehicle, known as the Transporter, Kombi or Microbus (depending on body type), and was devised as an evolution of the Volkswagen Type 1, the original Beetle. The first generation of these versatile vehicles (named the T1) was produced with distinctive split-screens from 1950 until 1967. Only two models were originally offered, the Kombi and the Commercial, the Microbus was added in May 1950, and was joined by the Deluxe Microbus in June 1951. The Deluxe Microbus (known as the ‘Sunroof Deluxe' in America) was the most luxurious version of the Volkswagen Transporter T1. The Deluxe model featured eight rear side windows and two rear corner windows, making it the '15-window' but was not available in Europe. Meanwhile, the European-market Deluxe Microbus, with its additional eight small skylight windows is, accordingly, the '23-window'. From the 1964 model year with its wider rear door, the rear corner windows were discontinued, making the latter two, the 13-window and 21-window respectively.DYB 907C has been cherished all of its life by its original owners and regularly MOT’d by a local garage. Having spoken with the garage owner it is clear that the mileage between MOTs was very low and each year, any work that was required to gain a new MOT, was carried out. There are copies in the file of MOT certificates, and copies of a few bills. In addition, there is a V5C, two service booklets from the 1970s, and the original service booklet from new. Delivered to us in running condition, we understand that there is a slight exhaust blow and a historical gearbox oil leak that will require investigation. By repute, this camper received a replacement engine at about 100,000 miles, but otherwise it appears in very original condition, even down to the fold-down gas stove and removeable table - features often lost.

2005 Bentley Continental GT CoupéRegistration no. MX05 JROChassis no. SCBCE63W55C028676Odometer Reading: 61,649MoT Expiry: 8 March 2022*Beautiful Cypress Mica Green Continental GT*Full service history*A well-presented exampleThe Bentley Continental GT launched in 2003 as one of the most impressive Bentleys ever produced – and received widespread critical acclaim. Powered by a then all-new 6.0 Twin-Turbo W12 engine, the car produced a mighty 560bhp and 479lbft of torque that propelled the 2.5 ton car to 60mph in 4.8 seconds. The car was also the first car to be developed under the company's new Volkswagen Group ownership, and marked a new era for the marque. Not only that, but the car was also the first luxury car to be produced by Bentley for the mass market. Today, Continental GT's represent excellent value and still look just as good today as they did when they were first launched in 2003. This 2005 example, originally supplied new to Bentley Knutsford of Manchester, is presented in a stunning colour combination of Cypress Mica Green metallic with a beige leather interior. The interior is also finished with a Cypress green leather trimmed dashboard (to match the exterior), and walnut wood veneers. The bodywork and interior present very well, and the car comes with a full service history. The W12 engine also runs very smoothly and performs well and as it should. The mileage is also relatively low for a Continental, having completed only 62,000 miles. Overall this is a lovely example and offers great potential as a usable future classic.Footnotes:Vendor Score Total: 82/100Bidders should note that the automated 100-point Seller's Assessment is provided by each Seller at the point of consignment using the guidelines below, and is not provided, assessed or verified by Bonhams MPH. 1986 Fiat Ritmo Cabriolet 100SRegistration no. FE 379847 - Not UK RegisteredChassis no. MPATFSHAT104009Odometer reading: 83,000kmMOT Expiry: N/A*Rare Ritmo Cabriolet*Very good condition*Low kilometresLaunched in April 1978 at the Turin Motor Show, the Fiat Ritmo was Fiat's answer to the popular MK1 Volkswagen Golf. Styled and built by Bertone, the Ritmo (known as the Strada in the UK) was released at a time when small European hatchbacks were becoming increasingly popular, and the styling certainly helped it to stand out from the crowd. The cabriolet models in particular were distinctive, and are now increasingly rare. This low mileage Italian example is a third series car, and is offered in very good condition. There is little history with the car, but the bodywork, paintwork and interior are all in good condition, and the electrics all work as they should (as does the folding roof). The car runs are drives nicely, although it has not been used in the last 2 years by the vendor, so the car will need recommissioning before being put to active use. The car is currently a part of a private collection, and is a rare survivor – perfect for use as a fun summer runabout. 1985 Ford Escort XR3i Transmission: manual Mileage: 34599Launched in March 1986, with only a small number of changes over its predecessor, optional new features included a mechanical anti-lock braking system (standard on RS Turbo models), a fuel computer on fuel-injected models and a heated windscreen. These changes were welcome at a time when the Escort was faced with a host of new competitors; General Motors had brought out a new version of the Vauxhall Astra 18 months earlier, shortly after Volkswagen had introduced the Mk. II Golf. As well as an all-new interior, a new derivative of the CVH engine was introduced, as well as numerous suspension tweaks to address the long-standing criticisms of the Escort's handling and ride quality.Originally registered on 1st August 1985 this XR3i is finished in red with grey velour interior. The coachwork is in good order and shows no sign of corrosion. The engine burst into life when requested and we are advised she drives with no known faults. With only two former keepers, the current registered keeper has owned her since March 2008, clearly this has been a well-cared for example throughout its life. The mileage of 34,599 is thought to be correct although not warranted, the condition is certainly commensurate with such a low mileage example. Sitting proud, sounding great and looking superb, this Escort XR3i is supplied with a V5C registration document, a full year’s MoT test certificate, together with some invoices, this is an opportunity to purchase one of Dagenham’s finest models. Interested parties should note that the dashboard on this vehicle has some sun damaged and will require replacing.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

2006 Smart Fortwo Convertible Brabus Red Edition Transmission: manual Mileage: 57287The Smart design concept began at Mercedes-Benz in the early 70s and late 80s. After brief backing by Volkswagen, the first model was released by Daimler-Benz in October 1998. Several variants on the original design have been introduced, with the original being the ‘Fortwo’. The car launched successfully in nine European countries. Smart derives from cooperation with Swatch and Mercedes-Benz: Swatch Mercedes ART. The Smart Brabus Edition Red was a limited edition produced in September 2006; of only 50 cars produced, 35 were coupés and 15 were cabriolet versions. The paintwork was especially done in Intense Red and the interior colours were duly matched with usual Brabus upgrades.Designed on the base of the Fortwo Brabus, this limited edition example can be distinguished by its bright Intense Red colour and is powered by a 75bhp, 3-cylinder turbo charged engine, with a top speed of 150km/h, unlike the other Fortwo cars that were traditionally restricted to 135km/h. The passenger compartment has seats and door linings in Alcantara leather and red top stitching, the speedometer, clock and turbo pressure gauge have the same red surrounds and the dashboard is covered in black Alcantara. Other than that, the car shares the major elements of the Brabus versions, such as the twin exhaust, 16” monoblock alloys and various accessories to assist the passengers such as air conditioning and paddle shift steering wheel. This Fortwo Brabus Red Edition has been part of a private collection for some time and is presented in very good condition throughout. Showing a mere 57,287 on the odometer, this Brabus comes with a history file including old MoT test certificates and the current V5 registration document. One of just 15 convertible examples produced, this example with modest mileage is a very rare car indeed. Offered without reserve we are sure this limited edition example will bring much enjoyment to its new custodian.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

2008 Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk. 5 Transmission: automatic Mileage: 47980The Volkswagen Golf Mk. 5 was the fifth generation of the Volkswagen Golf and the successor to the Mk. 4. Sharing the Volkswagen Group A5 platform, it debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in October 2003 and went on sale in Europe one month later. The Golf Mk. 5 was replaced in 2009 with the Mk. 6. The GTI comes with VW's four-cylinder 2.0L Turbo engine (FSI) which gives it 197 bhp. Transmissions include a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG. The Mk. 5 is now regarded as probably the best incarnation of the legendary GTi after the original Mk. 1 of 1976-1983 and is fast acquiring modern classic status. This superb example from the ‘daddy of hot hatches’ is presented in black with black cloth interior and is immaculate throughout including underneath. It comes with air conditioning and climate control, six speed DSG automatic transmission, sports seats and has 11 VW stamps in its original service book. Its MoT test certificate expires in March 2022 and the car also comes with two sets of keys. Great fun, practical and quick!Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.
