A 1961 left hand drive Volkswagen Beetle 1200, registration number 642 UYM, blue. The evergreen Beetle is as popular today with enthusiasts as when they first rolled off the Wolfsburg production line in 1938. This particular 1200 was imported and first registered in the UK in 1971 on registration number GBP 222J, the previous owner acquired the Beetle in 1979 and it had been dry stored until purchased by the vendor in November 2012. Since acquiring the Beetle the vendor has embarked on a sympathetic restoration incorporating as many original components as possible. For safety purposes he has replaced the entire hydraulic braking system, replaced the starter motor, thoroughly recommissioned the engine, and has reinstated the stale air cooling system. The charming Beetle is fitted with an original VW ski rack with period skis. The interior is serviceable but the vendor advises us this is one area of the car which could be improved as time and funds allow. V5C, MOT to September 2016 See illustration

A 1969 Volkswagen T2 Combi, registration number SCV 883G, chassis number 239190234, blue. Volkswagen's second generation of camper was launched in 1967 and featured the new wrap around or bay window windscreen. It would remain in production until 1979. This example, an eight seater two berth model, was imported from South Africa in 2008. It is presented in an original condition. The current vendor has maintained the camper well, and there are receipts on file from marque specialists, including South West Classic VW amongst others. A 1991 Volkswagen Golf Driver, registration number H277 WYA, red. This local Somerset Volkswagen was supplied by Loders of Yeovil and was serviced by them until late last year. The recorded mileage of 90,000 miles is believed to be correct. The Driver was a cross over model between the GTi and the five door hatchback.
