A City of Westminster enamel STREET SIGN from Vane Street, SW1, a short thoroughfare off Vincent Square, near Victoria, and home to the Rochester Hotel. The 'Gothic' script of the heading suggests a vintage of c1950s. Measures 36" x 12" (91cm x 30cm), a few chips at the edges but generally in good, ex-use condition. [1]
A William IV silver tureen and cover, by Paul Storr, London 1836, shaped circular form, with a detachable reeded scroll handle, the cover with a presentation inscription "Presented by C W Vane Marquis of Londonderry. G.C.B G.C.H G.B.E &C &C to John Andrew Esq of Comber in testimony of his high estimation for the Integrity Talent & Ability displayed by him in the direction and management of his Down Estate after 18 Years Service on his birthday. Nov 15th 1846", the cover numbered 4, the base numbered 3, the underside of the base also stamped 'STORR & MORTIMER 35', diameter 27.5cm, approx. weight 56.3oz.

A large painted iron weather vane, approximately 850cm tall overall. This weather vane was made by Don Bailes from Northwold, Norfolk and has stood as a local landmark in Kings Road, Bury St. Edmunds, for almost forty years. It has been donated and is being sold at auction to raise funds for The East Anglian Air Ambulance.
