An early 20c French carriage clock, the slim movement constructed similarly to a watch and having the balance and escape wheel mounted on the silvered backplate. The white rectangular dial has Arabic numerals with gilt hands and minute markers and bears an Italian retailers name 'Janetti'. It is contained in a glazed brass obis type case which in turn has an outer Morocco covered gull wing travelling case, the case stands 4" tall overall.

Knives with wear scuffs, scratches, some knocks. Travelling set with wear and scuffs, some knocks and dents. Brush separating. Clock with chips, cracks and losses, and quite a lot of dents, and some mis-shaping. Rusting and tarnish. Not known whether or not in working order. All cases with wear and scuffs and some losses to surface.
A late Victorian Miniature Silver Cased Travelling Clock, the hammered silver case with looped handle, hinged door and bun feet, the clock with brass movement, white enamelled dial with Roman numerals (chipped), hallmarked London 1898, 3 ½” high Condition: Face cracked and chipped (around 4 numeral) outer case has some rubbing and wear, not working. Glass to front broken. Face enamel chipped and cracked. Does not appear to run. Hands move. Movement signed Breguet A Paris. Handle broken. Case needs restoration. A carriage clock, with repeat, the porcelain dial with Roman numerals within an engraved silver surround, fitted a movement striking on a gong, in a four pillar brass case, 20 cm high, with a leather travelling case See illustration Condition report Report by RB Please note that Charterhouse do not guarantee the working condition of any watch or clock. All appears in a good condition, enamel dial is good, escapement moves freely, and the case good. The only real observation is a small chip to the bevel glass inset in the top, to its back right hand corner, with a Morocco leather travelling case, the handle generally weak, and with various scratches and knocks, consummate with its age.

An unusual early 20th Century gilt metal and mother of pearl travelling bedside style Clock, the silvered dial with Arabic numerals and signed Lancel, Paris and flanked by a mother of pearl bezel, the dial with unusual pendulum aperture at the six o'clock position, the gilded case back engraved with vertical bands of flowers in Art Deco style and with vacant cartouche in the shape of 'C' scrolls housed within original silk linked lancet shaped case, the clock 6.25cm high CONDITION REPORT: Seems to work and tick OK, some gilding away to base and mother of pearl bezel 'loose', otherwise seems reasonable for age.
