A Hornby 3½" Gauge Live Steam Stephenson's 'Rocket' with track, Introductory note on Toy Steam Engines: many of the engines which come to us for sale have evidently only been steamed once or twice, the owners no doubt very disappointed with their performance. It is essential to realise that such engines require careful and persistent 'running in', often only after 8 or 10 runs will the motion ease and start to run smoothly and freely. Application of the correct type of oil is also essential...an unboxed locomotive and tender, with track box containing 50 short pieces of track, water funnel, and spanner, and a boxed pair of G103 'Y' points, all G-VG, engine appears little used, brass dome is incorrect fitting from a static version and is NOT a safety valve, gas tank missing from tender, track pieces not a full set but loco instructions are included - NB this model lacks the original (plastic) gas tank not recommended for use, metal replacements are available online, but requires correct safety valve, otherwise G-VG (loco and tender + 2 track boxes)
