Sitzendorf Very Fine Late 19th Century Large and Impressive Hand Painted Porcelain Figure of Queen Victoria Sitting Upon a Large Throne / Chair, Dressed In All Her Splendor, Holding a Scepter In Her Right Hand, Marked 1897, Jubilee Year, Blue Crossed Swords to Underside of Figure. Height 12 Inches.
Three Continental porcelain items comprising a Sitzendorf table centre basket with cherubs and flowers to the pedestal, hatched blue 'H' mark to base, 41cm high, together with a cherub mounted, flower encrusted vase, marked: W.R. to the base, 26cm and a cherub mounted, pierced flower encrusted bowl, 33cm diameter. (3)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Probably minor losses to petals in places, but no significant damage noted. Detailed condition report on request.
SITZENDORF; an early 20th century pierrot figure group, modelled about to embrace, on oval gilt heightened base, painted mark to base, height 19.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are some restorations to this figure, noticeably the left arm and tip of his guitar, also the neck piece, raised section of hat, right hand, her feet, extensive restoration throughout.
A small group of ceramics to include four Carlton Ware 'Rouge Royal' leaf shaped dishes, a circular trinket box and a vase, a Goldscheider with Myott & Son Co figure of gentleman, height 29cm, a Royal Doulton limited edition figure, HN3232 'Anne Boleyn', and a Sitzendorf figure of Henry VIII. CONDITION REPORT: Henry VIII with rubbed decoration and manufacturing faults. Anne Boleyn missing left hand (as opposed to her head!). Man with snuff box with rubbed decoration and manufacturing faults. Tip of largest Carlton Ware leaf bowl broken and re-glued, otherwise rubbed and scratched with crazing and glaze cracks. Tea set and twin figures generally worn.
A circa 1900 German Sitzendorf porcelain figure group of three women in foliate scroll mould and floral transfer decorated chariot pulled by two winged lionesses, marked to base, length 48cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: One of the winged lionesses is badly af, with major loss to one of the wings which has been broken off but present and major part of the body crudely reglued, the other with loss to the right paw and several areas of regluing and restorations, one of the ladies to the back of the chariot with extensive restoration to upper part including bust and hair, traces of regluing to the wheels.
