Forbidden Planet (1956) Belgian film poster, starring Robby the Robot in this classic, framed, 13 x 22 inches (visible). Provenance: John Farmer started collecting over 40 years ago. His interest in films began when his parents took him to the James Bond double bills in the late 60s. Around this time he also developed a passion for reading his brothers Famous Monsters of Filmland magazines. These publications were certainly a great way at the time to expand your horizons and taste forbidden fruit. The Basil Gogos covers were especially glorious, and the look of these films and publications instilled in John an interest in a broad spectrum of artists and movies that he retains to this day. The John Farmer collection represents part of what he has acquired over the years and includes a good cross-section of titles such as Dr. No, The Ladykillers, Psycho, Night of the Hunter, Taxi Driver, 2001, Vertigo, Invasion of the Saucer Men and The Devil Rides Out. John has enjoyed locating and finding these items from many different sources and now looks forward to them finding a new home with other enthusiasts and collectors. Estate of Dave Prowse - The Green Cross Code Man - an icon of 1970s television - the original production used ' Droid ' robot from the famous Green Cross Code adverts which featured Mr Prowse as The Green Cross Man. Droid comes in full working order, benefitting from recent servicing and maintenance. Moving head, and light-up chest section, and fitted with a Bluetooth speaker to front. White fibreglass body, with green ancillaries with a motorised wheeled base. Radio controlled, with largely new electrics. Full working order, supplied with a battery charger. Measures approx; 130cm tall. A unique piece of British television history, with several key links to Star Wars. Droid was given to Mr Prowse after filming for the adverts ended, and was taken to several public appearances for fans to see. In the early 2000s the robot was restored by Podpad Studios for Mr Prowse and has since been maintained by Lee Towersey - R2D2 Builder and Operator in The Force Awakens, The Rise Of Skywalker, Rogue One and Solo. Such was the popularity of Star Wars, and the connection between Prowse and the franchise, it was decided that Green Cross Man should have a robot side-kick and so Droid was born into the public information films in the early 1980s. Droid was also used extensively in the publicity for the Estate Of Dave Prowse auction in May 2021 and featured on BBC News, Sky News and ITV News.

Note other lots in the auction may close on November 10th or November 11th.A full-size, battle-damaged NS-5 robot from Alex Proyas' sci-fi action film I, Robot. In 2035, Chicago Detective Del Spooner (Will Smith) investigated the murder of a scientist by an NS-5 robot, despite the fact that, according to the "Three Laws of Robotics", robots were not capable of harming humans. Most of the robots in the film were computer generated, but life-size practical models were required for certain scenes, such as one which took place in Dr. Lanning's (James Cromwell) laboratory, as well as during the climactic battle, when Spooner and Dr. Calvin (Bridget Moynahan) fought off a horde of NS-5s while civilians staged pitched battles with the robots in the streets. The robot is constructed from various different materials - including formed acrylic for the arm and leg plates, and resin for the joints - with a metal armature at its core. Both the legs and arms move, but are not poseable. This robot has been intentionally battle damaged. The head is partially melted and the chest plate is missing, revealing its interior mechanisms and bundles of exposed wires. One of the calf plates has also been blackened and cracked. The robot comes on a custom-made metal display. Other than the obvious intentional distress, it has some additional wear from production use, including cracked paintwork and chips which reveal the resin beneath. Dimensions (displayed): 56 cm x 50 cm x 192 cm (22" x 19¾" x 75½") Special shipping required; see special shipping notice in the Buyer's Guide. Estimate: £3,000 - 5,000 M

Wheems (also known as "Little Guy") and his family of extraterrestrial, sentient spaceships arrived on Earth to help the tenants of a destitute apartment complex. This puppet was created by Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), and several veteran ILM artists, including Ralph McQuarrie and Paul Huston, contributed to the design of the robots, dubbed "Fix-Its" in the movie. The puppet is constructed from resin, and is hand-painted with Wheems' signature patchwork of metallic gold, blue and copper, as well as stencilled lettering and barcodes. A switch on the back and the presence of screws on the underside imply that the eyes illuminate as seen in the film, although this has not been tested. A puppetry rod is attached to each leg, around which are coiled lengths of thin wire believed to be electronic wires to power the eyes. The robot sits atop a clear acrylic rod inside a cylindrical acrylic display case. Dimensions (display): 13.5 cm x 13.5 cm x 26.5 cm (5¼" x 5¼" x 10¼")Contains electronics; see electronics notice in the Buyer's Guide. Estimate: £12,000 - 16,000 Ω
