Tinplate Toys - x2 Japanese, believed to be Horikawa space-related robots, featuring a Rotate-O-Matic Super Astronaut robot and a Space Explorer robot with a tv screen in the chest. Tested and only the Rotate-O-Matic robot is in working order. Both are unboxed. Largest measuring approx. 29cm x 14cm.
Tinplate Toys - a vintage Japanese SH Horikawa Roto Robot, featuring walking action, rotating torso, shooting action and sounds. Tested and is in part working condition, where there is walking action, shooting lights and sounds, however no rotation. Unboxed. Marked to the bottom of the torso 'SH made in Japan'. Measuring approx. 22cm x 10cm.

Orig. cloth with col. ill. orig. dustjackets (these somewhat browned due paper, slightly rubbed at edges and occ. with small defects), 1x orig. cardboard. - The first 4 (and only) volumes of the series published in 1952, which was intended to establish Anglo-American science fiction literature in Germany, but was discontinued in the first year of publication due to a lack of response. For years afterwards, science fiction literature was still considered unsellable in Germany. - Contains: as listed above. - Each with commentary by the editor Gotthard Günther. - Bronwed due to paper, otherwise very well preserved.
