He left Poole to found Purbeck Pottery with Eddie Goodall and later designed for Royal Doulton and Royal Crown Derby.** From an exhibition of work by Jefferson held at Levens Hall, Kent Valley, Cumbria* Condition: Glass cracked on both pictures. Some foxing to lower grass area and a few tiny fox marks to sky on 'To the Ha-Ha'. The Folly has some insect dirt to underside of the glass.

Swirl of indentations to surface of board, which have caused some paint flaking, to the centre right (probably from contact with a picture hanger on the back of another work). Another small chip to paint towards upper left, which has been retouched.
