Poole Pottery Richard Dennis Publications 2006, p. 24 where a comparable example is illustratedNote: James Radley Young joined Carters Pottery, Poole in 1893 (later Carter Stabler and Adams, and then Poole Pottery), following his half-brother Edwin Page Turner, who was head of design at the time. Young left Carters in 1901 to set up Hammer Vale Pottery in Haslemere, Surrey with William Wilson Stallworthy. The project was relatively short-lived however and Young returned to work for Carters in 1911.
