QGC (hammer missing, heavily worn with some deep pitting around nipple bolster, ramrod replaced)
A .56 percussion sea service belt pistol, 11” overall, sighted barrel 6”, with swivel ramrod, border engraved lock, struck with crowned VR cypher and engraved 1855 Tower, fullstocked with regulation brass furniture and struck W Hawkins Swinburn & Son, steel belt hook. Lanyard ring to butt cap. GWO & C (finish removed leaving sandpaper marks).
A 24 bore percussion target pistol by Adams, 14” overall, sighted octagonal twist barrel 8¾” with swivel ramrod and foliate engraved breech, border and foliate scroll engraved lock with safety bolt, fullstocked with chequered butt, nickel escutcheons, engraved steel furniture. GWO & C (retaining some original finish, trigger guard tang slightly sprung). Plate 12
A 40 bore flintlock boxlock pocket pistol, by Mabson & Labron, 6” overall, turn off barrel 1½” with fern tip engraved muzzle, B’ham proved; the frame engraved with stands of flags and maker’s name; raised pan; top safety which also secures the frizzen; hidden trigger, walnut butt with silver escutcheon. GWO & C (cock pivot screw replaced, tip of frizzen chipped) (See lot 1119 for illustration).
A 60 bore DB flintlock O&U tap action boxlock pocket pistol, by Hast Colchester, 6” overall, turn off barrels 1½”, border, trophy and foliate engraved frame, folding trigger, ring neck cock sliding top mounted safety. Slab sided walnut butt with vacant oval escutcheon. GWO & C (frizzen spring weak, frizzen locking pin broken from safety, butt revarnished, most finish rubbed from metalwork) (See lot 1119 for illustration).
An Irish 16 bore flintlock overcoat pistol , 8” overall, part octagonal barrel 3¾”, engraved Kilkenny on top flat, border engraved lock with raised pan and roller to frizzen spring engraved “W..av” (unclear),, fullstocked with engraved brass furniture. GWO & C (some rust, ramrod shortened) (See lot 1125 for illustration).

Pistol Flask, turn-off bar etc in fitted case with label Sam Evans, Gun Maker, Cambridge. 145mm overall length.
A charming small double barrelled flintlock over and under tap action pocket pistol by T Richards, turn off barrels 11/4", Birmingham proved at breech, hidden trigger and with top bar safety, slab sided butt with silver escutcheon, Good Working Order and Condition, secreted in a book, the centre made into a box (baise lined), (Book much worn).
A good .577/450" Henry's Patent falling block sporting rifle, by Stephen Grant, number 2388, 471/2" overall, barrel 301/4", with Birmingham proofs, 2 folding leaf rearsights, and engraved "Stephen Grant, 67A St James's St, London", the breech engraved "Henry's Patent', finely scroll engraved frame and back action lock with safety bolt, walnut stock with chequered fore end and pistol grip with horn cap, loops for sling swivels. Very Good Working Order and Clean Condition, retaining most original colour hardened finish to frame and lock, and blued finish to barrel (minor bruising to stock) (Please see lot 148 for image)
