A PERRY DOUBLE BARRELLED FLINTLOCK PISTOL. A flintlock pistol by Perry of London, with brass double turnoff barrels of 3.7/8". Single hammer firing with sliding plate, allowing the user to fire single or both barrels as chosen. Highly decorative actions, with plain large width butt. 10.1/2" overall length.
A PISTOL BY J & W RICHARDS A Coat Pistol by J & W Richards with conversion from flintlock to percussion, possibly by Lowe. On the steel action with sliding safety is the first named, on the hammer conversion the latter. Chequered butt with steel furniture, 6.3/4" octagonal barrel with Crown over CP and R over I & J above a Crown over V. 12.1/4" overall length. J & W Richards are recorded as working at Staining Lane , London between 1808 & 1810.
A set of five George V hallmarked silver sheath handled fruit knives of serpentine design, FC, Sheffield 1910, and five other hallmarked silver sheath handled knives including a pistol grip example, a set of four George VI hallmarked silver coffee spoons, Barker Bros, Birmingham 1937 and three other silver spoons including a German 800 standard example, four silver sheath handled dressing table/manicure items and two silver plated handled examples.

No. 10413, together with canvas padded slip. Special condition applies: Shotgun certificate or other relevant permit required. CONDITION REPORT: Appearing in good, lightly used condition.

A JAPANESE WOOD AND METAL NETSUKE, 19TH CENTURY Depicting a miniature matchlock pistol, the iron barrel decorated with scrolling vines and flower mon in gold nunome zogan and set into a wood stock, the hammer decorated with a cherry floret at the hinge, with a ring to the underside, unsigned, 6.4cm. Provenance: formerly in the Virginia Atchley Collection. Cf. V Atchley and N K Davey, The Virginia Atchley Collection of Japanese Miniature Arts, N217 p.158, where this piece is illustrated.
*A DB 12 bore x 2½” top lever hammerless sidelock non ejector sporting gun,by T Hollis & Sons, London, number 75935, 46½” overall, barrels 30” with matted top rib, the signed locks sparsely scroll engraved around the screw heads, with automatic top safety, the walnut stock with chequered fore end and pistol grip, and vacant oval escutcheon, re-nitro proofed in 1991. GWO & clean condition, shows little sign of use since re-proofing.
A 16 bore Irish flintlock holster pistol by Clarke, Dublin, c 1800, 14” overall, round barrel 9” marked “Dublin” (faint) and Irish registration number “IK- 5 1138”, plain flat signed lock with swan neck cock, plain walnut fullstock with plain brass mounts including small domed butt cap, and brass tipped ramrod. Good Working Order and Condition, with dark patina to lock and barrel (patches of light pitting to barrel, small repair to fore end above the lock). Plate 64
A scarce French 20 bore Model 1842 naval percussion belt pistol, 11¾” overall, barrel 6¾”, the tang engraved “Mle. 1842”, the back action lock engraved “Mre Rle de Chatellerault”, the walnut halfstock with brass mounts, 4½” belt hook on left side, lanyard ring on butt cap, and swivel ramrod, the butt cap stamped with small anchor mark, the breech, barrel band and butt all numbered 2224. GWO & C, with age patina overall (hammer spur missing, patch of surface wear to butt). Plate 8
A 38 bore percussion travelling pistol, c 1840, 8½” overall, sighted heavy octagonal barrel 4¼” with platinum line at breech, the flat stepped lock of flintlock form, with safety bolt and traces of name “J. Evans” in script, the walnut fullstock having rounded chequered butt with vacant escutcheon, engraved steel trigger guard, and throat pipe. GWO & generally GC (slightly worn, the butt has been fractured and repaired, hammer and ramrod replaced).
A 5 shot .31” Colt Model 1849 Pocket percussion revolver, number 80960 (1853), barrel 6” with New York City 2 line address. Generally GC (action requires attention, worn overall, ill fitting barrel); in a modern baize lined fitted wooden box with steel pincer ball mould, a pewter oil bottle, Joyce cap tin and reproduction flask and nipple key. A scarce .177” Accles & Shelvoke “Warrior” air pistol c 1932, the frame stamped “The “Warrior”/ Made in England” on left side and “Patent Nos/ British 351268/ USA 538057” on right side, with 1st type trigger guard and cocking lever, and pressed horn grips with chequered panels and Warrior’s helmet medallions.
