TBCTransmission: ManualMileage: 92,288 (Indicated)MOT: June 2024 Estimate: £2,500 – 3,500 (No Reserve) R.E.A.L are honoured to offer the Sidnell collection barn finds in our upcoming auction. A variety of motor vehicles from the late Peter Sidnell who rented the same Wiltshire barn for over 30 years and was an avid fettler and classic car enthusiast. The majority of the cars were acquired before the early 80’s through friends and family where Peter had previously helped maintain their vehicles. The Morris Minor was one of Britain’s family-favourites backed up by over two decades of production. This 1961 4-door example in grey was registered in February of that year and has had just two previous owners. It was owned by Mr. Sidnell’s best friend from new, serviced and maintained by Peter in that time and then acquired by him at a later date. The car started on the button and has received a recent MOT. There is some minor body rust that needs sorting but not reported to be structural; the car will require some recommissioning. A current V5C and key are included with the car.To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on July 1st at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU with viewing on the 29th and 30th of June, you can also join us at our Nostalgia Social cars & coffee event on June 25th. The majority of the cars were acquired before the early 80’s through friends and family where Peter had previously helped maintain their vehicles. The Mini needs no real introduction and being in production for such a long period, the earlier examples are now fetching strong money with the car being such an icon of British pop culture. The car appears almost complete but in extremely poor health. This would be a project-of-love for a hardcore enthusiast or a donor car for parts. The interior and exterior require extensive restoration, for example the front wings are rusted out. Many of the parts removed seem to be inside. The engine and transmission are present. Comes with a V5C but no key.To be auctioned along with a fantastic selection of other vehicles on July 1st at our Showell Farm site, SN15 2NU with viewing on the 29th and 30th of June, you can also join us at our Nostalgia Social cars & coffee event on June 25th. FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF (1986) - Morris Frye's Ferrari License Plate - Morris Frye's Ferrari license plate from John Hughes' classic comedy Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) convinced his best friend, Cameron Frye (Alan Ruck), to "borrow" his dad's prized Ferrari for a joyride around Chicago.Four custom plates were made by production for the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California (a modified MG sports vehicle), with this metal plate created for the climactic sequence where the car crashes through Mr. Frye's window. Following production, it entered the private collection of one of the property masters.Designed to resemble an actual legal state plate, this plate is painted white with "Illinois" and "Land of Lincoln" decals applied on front, Dec. 1986 registration tags applied to both corners, and "NRVOUS" printed in raised blue lettering at center. It comes screwed into a steel frame from production. The plate exhibits rusting on the reverse, tearing to the decals, and scratched paint from being applied to and removed from the vehicle. 1963 Austin A35 Transmission: manualMileage:487001951 saw Austin's reply to the Morris Minor, the A30 was launched at the Motor Show of that year. A more cautious design than the Minor, the A30 was nevertheless Austin's first unitary construction car and the first to be powered by the famous A-Series engine. The A30's selling price undercut the Minor's by £10, thanks in part to such cost-cutting features as external door hinges, a solitary rear light, sliding windows and rear brakes operated by a single hydraulic cylinder via a mechanical linkage. A two-door model joined the four-door original in 1953, with van and estate versions following in 1954. The model was updated in 1956 with a wider rear window, remote gear lever and the 948cc engine, becoming the A35. Saloon production ceased on the Mini's arrival in August 1959, though the particularly popular A35 van would live on until 1968.This A35 van was originally registered on 15th May 1963 and presents well with dark green coachwork. This practical classic is offered to auction with a V5C registration document and would make ideal transport and a talking point for a small business or just be used and enjoyed at classic car meetings.

Lot 179

1936 Morris Eight Special Transmission: manualMileage:The Morris Eight was a small car with a production run from 1935 to 1948. Its inspiration coming from the popularity of the Ford Model Y. The success of the Eight enabled Morris to regain its position as Britain's largest motor manufacturer. Compared to its peers, the Morris Eight was a well equipped car with the driver being provided with a full set of instruments including a speedometer with a built in odometer, oil pressure and fuel level gauges and an ammeter.Registered in February 1937, this charming Morris Eight Special has been subject to a ground up restoration and built as a  homage to the 1930's racers of the period finished with an all-aluminium body by Max Szewczyk and sat on period Blockley tyres with wire knock on wheels. Owned by our vendor, a prominent trimmer for some of the world's most exclusive vintage cars, it started life as a two-seat tourer. Now finished in red with a bespoke tan leather trim and a new tonneau cover with racing spot, this is a very pretty Special turns heads everywhere it goes. Described by the vendor as being tremendous fun to drive with the 885cc engine and something he will be sad to sell. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and sure to be very popular, viewing is highly recommended.

Lot 226

1997 Rover Mini Cooper Transmission: manualMileage:54348The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960's and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. Initially Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980's and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging.Originally registered on 14th March 1997 this Mini Cooper has been owned by the lady vendor for the past 16 years. It has been used sparingly throughout her ownership, having covered just 4,000 miles within that period. It has always been kept in a dry garage and was largely unused within the last eight years. However, when it was decided the car would be sold, it was immediately put in for a service and an MoT test, which it passed with no advisories. Finished in red with black interior this Mini Cooper is fitted with a 1275cc engine and offers relatively brisk performance. Classic Mini's always create interest and this example with its Minilite wheels and four spot-lamps is sure to follow suit. Supplied with a V5C registration document this Mini Cooper has only covered 54,348 miles in 26 years, a fraction over 2,000 miles per year. Offered for sale without reserve this Mini is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Lot 237

1966 MG Midget Transmission: manualMileage:48098The 1966 MG Midget was produced by MG (Morris Garages) between 1961 and 1979. The 1966 model year saw the Midget undergo some notable changes. One of the most significant updates was the introduction of an 1100cc engine, which replaced the previous 948cc engine. The exterior design of the 1966 MG Midget was also refreshed with a new grille, headlights, and taillights. The car had a sleek and sporty appearance, with a low-slung body and chrome bumpers. Inside, the car had a minimalist design, with simple gauges and controls. The cockpit was designed to provide a snug and comfortable driving experience. This pretty MG was originally registered in April 1966 and presents well in Old English White with a contrasting black interior. The vendor has owned the car for the last ten years and tells us it has been a joy to own with its nimble handling, precise steering, and responsive engine. During his tenure the car has been garaged and the file shows several earlier service bills and various MoT test certificates. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document and without reserve, this MG Midget remains a sought-after classic with timeless appeal.
