WW2 US Marine Corps kinfolks V44 fighting knife/survival machete. Iconic USMC Fighting knife features black composite handle, nicely tooled 11.4cm wide brass cross guard. 24.3cm blade is stamped 'Kinfolks INC.' has machine d straight fullers, factory sharpened main edge and unsharpened false back edge, age staining to blade surface. Brown original scabbard with intact stitching and rivets has minor damage to small front section. Excellent Marine fighting knife.
Rare WW2 Australian parachutist machete bayonet and scabbard. Features well blued hilt conforming in all respects to a pattern 1907 Australian issue piece. Slazenger manufacturer's marks to the wood scales stamped SLAZ 43 broad arrow stamped with working mortise button. 28.5cm heavy bolo-style machete blade, with sharpened edge & back blade, false edged for the last 12cm, carries majority of factory blueing. Correct WW2 issue canvas and webbing scabbard with riveted tin reinforcement at throat and chape, normal storage age wear, marked R.M.B.ltd.1944. Both the bayonet and the rifle Lee Enfield No1 MKIII 'Intermediate' which it was paired with were only produced in small numbers. It is believed that only around 2000 bayonets were produced. The official designation for the bayonet was 'Bayonet Parachutist, ex machete 'I' type' and it was intended for Para troop and Commando use in jungle warfare against the Japanese. Measures 43.5cm long.hete bayonet & scabbard.
19th C. Sheffield greenhorn machete for South America market by J Newton & Co. Features Greenhorn and brass rivet wide handle with ‘S’ guard, cross guard. Full length 59.5cm tang to point triple, single sided fullered blade with Makers stamp and ‘Frog’ logo to ricasso. Blade is machined burnished but carries some shallow pitting staining near point.
1909 pattern Argentine short sword bayonet and scabbard by WKC. Matching numbered German contract military machete. Wooden grips with curved pommel and S guard, showing inspection and serial numbers. Bright unsharpened Butcher blade, maker stamped with Argentine Government crest to the ricasso & original leather washer. Scabbard is rolled steel and nicely blued, with only minor scuffing to finish, with the issue numbers matching the blade. Measures 52.5cm.
WW2 Australian machete Knife with scabbard dated 1945. Features a Bakelite ‘cross hatched’ riveted grips and wrist strap, mounted onto metal tang and wide face blade measuring 37cm long. Blade is the correct swollen type, being factory and field sharpened and dated 1945. Comes with its brass and canvas scabbard, material period and age stained, small hole to back edge, belt hanger has some thread fraying. Solid example, these are becoming very collectable pieces.
19th C. Martindale greenhorn machete made for South American market. Features Green Horn and brass/steel rivet bird beak handle with ‘S’ guard ending in acorns, cross guard. Full length 65cm tang to point single fullered blade with Makers stamp and crocodile logo to ricasso facing. Blade is bright but carries some nicks to edge and scattered minor areas of shallow pitting. Scabbard of brown leather has some stitching lose and leather wear to back near throat and near drag.
WW2 USN MK-1 machete legitimus Collins & Co 1942. Black/brown 2-piece composite grip hilt with 4 steel pins, light wear. Full tang steel blade 77cm long from tang end to point, factory darkened facing, worn manufacturer stamped. Field sharpened with numerous nicks to blade edge. Scabbard stencilled “U.S.N.’ MK.1, all rivets present. Olive drab throat has paint loss, minor wear fraying to edge, 2 holes where blade point has worn through canvas near scabbard end. Sheath material has some staining, but all complete.
Australian SASR Russian MiG pilot machete souvenir from Al Asad raid - Iraq 2003. Very interesting MiG Survival Machete liberated from a grounded MiG by Australian Special forces as part of the April 2003 1 SASR seizure of Al Asiad air force base, when the Australian S.F. recon element of the task force cleared the base of armed Iraqis, capturing a number of MiG fighters, numerous surfaces to air missiles systems and tonnes of explosive. The task group then cleared and repaired the runway for coalition aircraft to land. This souvenir was plucked out of the MiG cockpit and is in near perfect condition, with black plastic grip, with high-quality Russian machete blade numbered 1820576. Factory sharpened blade, measuring 35.5cm and comes with original nylon cover with 18 Russian script. Included in this Auction lot is an excellent Australian SAS 50th anniversary book, which features the airfield raid. Veteran consigned. Excellent piece of S.A.S.R. history.
Of Falklands war interest, a Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solange Argentinian issue M1909 artillery machete stamped "Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solange and Modelo Argentino 1909" with scabbard and leather frog, together with a pair of Carl Zeiss Jena 6 x 30 binoculars, also stamped "Ejercito Argentino Morteros 81 mm number 39", surrendered by an Argentinian officer at the surrender of West Falkland taken by Chief Petty Officer W D Wilson flag bearer HMS Avenger, who after 26 years service left the Royal Navy as a Lieutenant.

Jason Voorhees' (Ken Kirzinger) stunt machete from Ronny Yu's slasher mash-up Freddy vs. Jason. Jason's iconic machete was designed by production designer John Willett. Stunt versions were created for use during fast-paced action sequences to preserve the actors' safety. This stunt machete is made of rubber with a metal core running from the handle and along the top of the blade. The blade yields upon contact with harder surfaces. The hand guard is made of soft rubber, while the handle is made of sturdier rubber and wrapped in tape. The piece has been deliberately aged and dirtied by production, and the paint has worn away from the handle and hand guard. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from New Line Cinema.
