A Chinese Porcelain Jar, Kangxi reign mark and probably of the period, of ovoid baluster form with flared neck, painted in underglaze blue with bands of phoenix, precious objects, scrolls, flowers and lattice, bears six character reign mark in underglaze blue, 25.5cm high See illustration. One very tight and feint hair crack to the flared neck. Some minimal pitting to the glaze. No other damage and free from repair. Glaze free from any notable wear and scratches.

The jar body has a clean break to an oval section near the shoulder which has been re-glued and retouched. Some flaking to the black enamel around the base.
