Fine hand-coloured engraved hemispherical star chart, with 2 smaller hemispherical charts in the lower corners, many putti and an allegorical figure of an astronomer in the margins, blank on verso (light stain to right edge), 440 x 520mm., unframed. An earlier version of this impressive star chart was included in Cellarius's Harmonica macrocosmica - one of the greatest celestial atlases ever published - which was first printed in 1660, and re-issued in 1661. This version, identical to it apart from the addition of Valk and Schenk's names in the imprint, was included in Jansson's Atlas Maior of 1708. Kanas Star Maps p.194.
COOPER GARY: (1901-1961) American actor, Academy Award winner. An excellent vintage signed and inscribed sepia 11 x 14 photograph of Cooper in a dapper half-length pose, wearing a polka dot bow tie, and holding a harmonica in his hands. Signed in dark fountain pen ink to a light area of the image, 'To Lucila - With my best regards - Gary Cooper', further adding the words “Sergt York” and date, 1941, in his hand beneath his signature. Some very light, extremely minor wrinkling to the upper edge, otherwise EXIn 1941 Cooper starred in the title role of the biographical film Sergeant York, winning the Best Actor Academy Award for his performance as Alvin C. York, one of the most decorated American soldiers of World War I.

A lovely, original US stereo pressing of The Moving Sidewalks - Flash (Tantara Records, TS-6919) featuring pre ZZ Top Billy Gibbons on vocals, guitar and harmonica. The record is in Ex condition - bright and glossy with both sides displaying paper marks, nothing feelable. The centre label is bright and clean. The gatefold sleeve displays signs of edge storage wear, as well as creasing to the corners. The reverse displays very faint ringwear - VG+ condition.
