The 03-A3 has the distinction of being the last issued military firearm widely used in both theaters by the U.S. during the second World War. These were designed to reduce the cost of production for the standard 1903 Springfield. Utilized parkerized finish with numerous pressed steel parts to include barrel bands with swivels, pressed trigger guard and floor plate, standard issued straight walnut stock. Has the new rear bridge mounted military sight, barrel is stamped R.A. 7-43. Metal retains virtually all of the arsenal applied matte parkerized finish. Has the pressed checkered buttplate with trap door, perfect action, bore has an ME reading of one, TE reading of two. Extremely nice lightly used mid war model 1903 A3. Has a proof P on wrist, left side of stock is stamped SAGW with ordinance wheel. SAGW was used in the Springfield armory from 1940-1942. SGAW stood for Gilbert H. Stuart, 1940-1942. Lot 433

Each grip panel is carved with a hawk with inset eyes and personal initials "G.E.D." in a large diamond. The left panels has a couple of minor flakes of shale and minor chips, right panel appears to be in near mint condition. No signs of any repairs. These are very thick and it is nearly impossible to get a similar set today. If you own a presentation or engraved Luger, these would add greatly to both value and beauty to that firearm.

Lot 631

.22 cal over .410 with an 18" barrel. The Marble Game Getter is a light, double-barrel (over-under), combination gun manufactured by the Marble's Arms & Manufacturing Company in Gladstone, Michigan. The firearm features a skeleton folding stock and a rifle barrel over a smooth-bore shotgun barrel. A manually pivoted hammer striker is used to select the upper or lower barrel. Production of the Model 1921 started in 1921 and was essentially a new design. This pistol/pocket rifle remains in excellent all original condition and is one of the more desirable examples in that it has a legal 18" barrel. The metal retains approximately 60-70% original factory blue blending with a smooth gun metal patina. Other features include the adjustable flip-up target rear sight, near mint walnut grips, and a near mint chrome butt stock. Both bores are as new. Lock up and function is perfect. Very handsome, rare desirable firearm. Popular in the 1920s with fur trappers. Serial Number-16897; Manufacturer-Marbles; Model-1921; Caliber-.22 RF 1.410; Barrel Length-18"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic;

Lot 982

According to the Factory letter, this was shipped as a standard 1861 Navy with wood stocks and shipped to Colt's New York office on March 7th, 1861 in a shipment of only five guns. It was obviously engraved by one of the New York Colt contract engravers during the period of Gustave Young (1852 to 1869). The style of engraving, with its fine scroll work and punch-dot background, is the type of work done in the shop of Gustave Young; very similar pattern of engraving can be seen on page 65 in the book of Colt Engraving by Wilson. The frame exhibits nearly full coverage engraving, as does the backstrap and hammer; trigger guard and butt are also engraved and the barrel exhibits engraving on over half its surface. The cylinder exhibits a strong Naval battle scene but is not engraved. Exhibits all matching numbers, including wedge and cylinder. All metal surfaces are beautifully silver plated, having never been cleaned, and have taken on the rainbow coin finish. The period original one piece ivory grips sport full checkering on both panels. Cylinder shows no burn. Strong clean bore and perfect action. Gun remains in all original condition as it was when period engraved; the workmanship is flawless. It is quite evident this highly decorated firearm was intended as a very special gift or possession for someone of means or importance. Given the date of manufacture, this revolver was quite likely intended for someone involved in the Civil War. Spectacular period master engraved Colt 1861 Navy. Serial Number-6601; Manufacturer-Colt; Model-1861 Navy; Caliber-.36 percussion; Barrel Length-7-1/2"; FFL Status-Antique; CORRECTION: The triggerguard bow is stamped with an “R”, which may signifies rejection or factory return.  The engraving appears to be factory, as well as the checkered ivory grips.

Lot 1192

Referred to as the "Statehood Sets", Winchester contracted to have one set of matching rifle and carbine made to represent each of the 50 states. Therefore, no two are alike, since only one rifle and one carbine were made. They were hand engraved by Giovanelli, a noted master engraver. Each set of guns was engraved specifically for the individual state. The majority of these were purchased by state government and institutions, and even the most knowledgeable Winchester collectors have probably never seen a set of these firearms. Each gun is brand new, never fired, in the original Winchester box with matching end label. There is a booklet that shows all 50 State Commemoratives. The left side of the frame has the seal of the state of Missouri, the 24th state - 1821. The engraver has signed the rifle on the left side of receiver. The engraving is almost Celtic in design, deep chisel engraved, the emblem is in gold and colored enamel on a French grey receiver. The rifle has a half octagon/half round barrel, blued finish, full magazine, sporting sights. The wood is a beautiful highly grained walnut stock, checkered, with rifle buttplate. Right side of frame is engraved with Winchester rider. There are no coins in the stock. This a very tasteful and arguably the most hand embellished and finished of any Winchester modern day commemorative firearm. The carbine features the same embellishments on metal and wood as the rifle. It has a 20" round barrel, full magazine, two barrel bands, post front sight, and sporting rear sight. Rear barrel band is satin nickel like frame. These are literally one of a kind, never to be duplicated, matching set, unfired, new in box with all the paperwork. Once in a lifetime opportunity to own the finest Winchester commemorative one of a kind set ever manufactured. Serial Number-SH024R2014, SH024C2014; Manufacturer-Winchester; Model-Model 94; Caliber- .30-30; Barrel Length-24", 20"; FFL Status-Modern;

Lot 1213

Top of barrel has the "P.W." inspector stamp with Ordnance bomb. Left side of frame is stamped "U.S.". Left side of stock has the "W.B." inspector stamp in square, along with Ordnance wheel. Features include single bead front sight, military parkerized finish, corncob serrated walnut forend, and pistol grip (no cap) fluted stock with Winchester black composite buttplate. The late WWII production U.S. riot gun were not equipped with sling swivels. This shotgun falls directly into the range of U.S. shotguns. (930,000-950,000 per Canfield) Barrel and receiver are a mix of patina with the original military matte parkerized finish. Stocks are excellent with no cracks, just the usual small abrasions. Mirror bore and perfect action. Overall a fine condition example of a popular World War II pump action shotgun. According to Bruce Canfield in his book, "Combat Shotguns," production totals were significantly less (for riot guns) than for the trench guns, fewer genuine examples are around, very scarce U.S. Martially marked firearm. Serial Number-932470; Manufacturer-Winchester; Model-97; Barrel Length-20"; FFL Status-Curio & Relic; Gauge-12; Chamber-2-3/4"; Choke-Cylinder;

Lot 1303

This is an origial unaltered Civil War carbine in .52 caliber rimfire, also listed as .56-56, with six groove rifling. Serial No. range 11000 to 61000. Features round barrel, single band, Spencer military folding rear sight, walnut stocks, saddle ring and bar, rear sling swivel, loading tube in butt. Spencer patent dates stamped on receiver bridge. All metal is a brown patina. Buttstock is very good. Cartouche not visible. 3-1/2" stress crack on left side of butt and a repaired 2" crack on right rear forearm. There is some scattered salt and pepper on hammer and some heavier pitting on lever. Strong rifling and fine action. These were the mainstay and most desirable of all carbines issued during the Civil War; coveted on both sides of the conflict due to the rapidity of fire and reliability. An iconic Civil War carbine in attic-found condition, a survivor of numerous conflicts as evidenced by its condition. A veritable barometer of Civil War hostilities in an iconic American firearm. Serial Number-12308; Manufacturer-Spencer; Model-S.R.C.; Caliber-.52 Bore; Barrel Length-22"; FFL Status-Antique;
