A cased set of twelve 19th Century Russian silver vodka tots, each with gilt-washed interior and foliate engraved niello decoration, made by A.Vassiliev of Moscow, 1864, bearing Assay mark of Viktor Sowinski, retailed by Fabergé, the case bearing the retailer's mark. CONDITION REPORTS Approx. 360 gms in weight, each approx. 4.2 cm high, 4.3 cm diameter at top, each bears monogram of a unjcorn's head (see photo), all have wear to gilding especially to the rims, all have general wear, scratches, loss of gilding etc. due to age and use. Box exterior has significant scratches all over, interior - wear to the velvet and discolouration.
A House of Fabergé enamelled silver box set faceted hardstone cabochons, the hinged lid with an elongated octagonal panel enamelled in blue and iron red with a central circular cartouche with stylised bird surrounded by pomegranates and leafage, the front, sides and back with V-shaped panels, fluted compressed bun feet, silver gilt interior, 12 cm wide, 6.5 cm high, 7 cm deep, bearing Moscow mark, 91 Standard and Fabergé's Imperial Warrant; in a velvet and silk lined sycamore box, 16 cm wide, 7 cm high, 11 cm deep Articles produced for export to London were required to be of the highest metal standard (91) following the law suit with The Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
A carved hardstone figure of a bird perched upon a rock within a French 18 carat gold and enamel decorated mount as leaves and berries in the manner of Fabergé, 11.3 cm high, housed in an Asprey & Co. Limited tooled and gilded red leather display case CONDITION REPORTS Wirework is slightly bent and mis-shapen and appears to have been re-glued but has become partly unstuck again causing the bird to lean and currently to be a little bit wobbly, denting and mis-shaping at base of leaves where the enamels have flaked away, several chips to the rock and splits along what appears to be natural occlusions, berries appear to have some glue deposits so may have bee re-glued, one of the berries has several small holes in it so has possibly been re-positioned, legs of bird are somewhat mis-shapen, shallow chip/triangular shaped blemish to breast of bird. Case with some general wear, scuffs and dirt.

A Fabergé silver and enamel-mounted leather desk blotter, by workmaster Johan Viktor Aarne, St Petersburg 1892, the rectangular leather cover with applied silver decoration of a lyre, a cornucopia of flowers and trailing laurel with scrolling bands enamelled with presentation inscription, surmounted by a coronet and enamelled monogrammed cartouche, all within a finely engraved border of scrolling foliage with two allegorical vignettes of cherubs, the corner circular cartouche with enamelled monogram, silk interior, 37 x 30 cm This desk portfolio was presented to Uyli Ivanovich by his past mature students to commemorate twenty-five years as a teacher and composer at the University of Kazan in 1892. Former students of this highly regarded Russian university include Leo Tolstoy and Vladimir Lenin. Johan Viktor Aarne was apprenticed to Johan Erik Hellsten in Tampere, Finland. He worked for Fabergé from 1880 to 1890 in August Wilhelm Holmström's workshop. He then moved back to Finland for one year to obtain his workmaster title. In 1891 he returned to St Petersburg to work exclusively for Fabergé until 1904, using his Cyrillic signature B.A. In 1904 he sold his workshop and returned to Finland where he continued to work for another thirty years. CONDITION REPORT: Tarnished - some light surface scratches. Clasp and one clasp holder missing. Leather scuffed and worn in places. Silk to interior frayed and worn. A Russian cased Fabergé gold and silver diamond set locket, St. Petersburg 1908-1926. An oval hinged locket with white guilloché enamel to an engine turned, draped ground. An applied rose cut diamond set wreath or festoon and garlands, with a rose cut diamond set bale. Workmaster mark possibly that of Feodor Alexeievich Afanasiev with 88 and 56 zolotnik marks. Original fitted Fabergé Hollywood case CONDITION REPORT: The images on our website (www.sworder.co.uk) show all the marks on the locket, on both sides. Loose joint to the wooden case. Minute bruise to the edge of the enamel at the hinge, only visible under 10x magnification. Another similar at the bottom of the oval. Light surface wear to the back cover. Dirt around the garland and setting on the bale. Dirt to the inside edge of the locket. Scratches to the inside front cover.
Two Russian gold and gem set miniature eggs, probably Fabergé, each suspension loop detailed `56` and with indistinct workmaster`s marks, the first set with diamonds, sapphire and ruby, the other with a vertical row of two diamonds and a red gem, both length approx 1.8cm, together with a gold rose diamond and cabochon ruby set miniature egg decorated with a scroll design, probably Russian (two rubies and a diamond lacking), and a white gold, diamond and ruby set miniature egg, probably Russian, mounted with alternating horizontal bands of rose cut diamonds and calibre cut rubies (one rose diamond lacking), all suspended from a gold oval and circular link charm bracelet with boltring clasp, hung with ten further charms, including a diamond and seed pearl set heart shaped charm and a gold and enamelled registered letter envelope, total length approx 18cm.
