An Edwardian electroplated epergne, by James Dixon and Sons, large central trumpet vase with a circular dish, with two wire-work scroll arms, each supporting a circular dish, on a shaped circular base on four bun feet, inscribed ' Presented to Mr Edward Dorning on his retirement by the Chief Traffic Managers Staff as a token of their esteem and a memento of his 40 years connection with The Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company, October 31, 1908', height 67cm, length 57.8cm.
A pair of early 19th century old Sheffield plated wine coolers, by Watson and Co, circa 1830, campana form, foliate capped side handles, no liners, on raised circular bases, engraved with a crest, height 28.5cm, plus an old Sheffield plated epergne, of tapering circular form, vine leaf border, on a rectangular base, height 31cm. UNUSUAL ART NOUVEAU GLASS EPERGNE - REGISTERED DESIGN an unusual glass epergne possibly by John Walsh, with an iridescent glass base and brass stem. Mounted with three vaseline glass flower heads (two detachable). Marked, Rd 409769. 10ins (25cms) high *This has some similarities with a Water Lily Flower Holder, which is illustrated in The Glass of John Walsh Walsh 1850-1951, Page 43.
