Victorian silver candelabra epergne centerpiece, London hallmark dated 1873, mm Alexander Macrae. The twisting central fruiting vine stem leading to three separate branches, each terminating with either a delicate glass bowl or a candle sconce, the top of the stem supports a larger glass bowl, further decorated with applied vine leaves and grapes. The whole supported on a globular shaped base with shell feet, approx 62 h x 42 w cms, total silver weight 2550 gms. The epergne breaks down into three pieces all housed in independent felt layers within in a strap work box.

A SILVER PLATED EPERGNE CENTRE PIECE, silver plate on copper, flower centre piece with cover (cover and insert not original to the piece) tapering stem with worn crest, floral and foliage decorations, fitted with four removable scrolling floral and foliate detail branches with candle holders, on a round foliage pattern base raised on four paw feet, approximate height 49cm including finial (condition report: worn plating all round but mostly to the base, two of the four candle holders are damaged and broken, very heavy piece, the cover and insert are believed to not be original to the piece, requires attention)

There are also some more minor dents to each of the trumpet tops and the top of the epergne. There are no splits. Please see additional uploaded images.
