A parcel lot to include a Victorian cranberry glass epergne in EPNS scrolling footed stand with central dish with three trumpets, with two trumpet vases, mounted on foliate metal stands, one of three cranberry glass trumpets, the other with two iridescent milk glass trumpets, all with frilled edges
Victorian art glass epergne, circa 1880. Having center trumpet and three angled trumpets alternating with three canes suspending hanging baskets. Canes and trumpets are removable. A Victorian electro-plated epergne by Padley, Parkin & Staniforth, the Greek key part frosted glass by Molineaux, Webb & Co., with a glass trumpet vase to the beaded and engine turned stem, a glass central bowl, the baluster stem embossed with shells and foliate decoration, on three shell and leaf feet, 45cm (17 3/4in) high; with two matching glass pedestal dishes, 9cm (3 1/2in) high. The Greek key design registered 27th August 1864 by Molineaux, Webb & Co., Manchester Flint Glass Works.
A silver epergne centrepiece by Robert Welch, Birmingham 1978, the central detachable lightly hammered bowl on a high straight stem, the four detachable subsidiary bowls on curved stems, on a circular spreading base, the bowl interiors gilt, 30cm (11 7/8in) high, 2710g (87.1 oz); together with a calligraphy presentation dated 1978. The presentation reads ‘This Epergne, designed by Robert Welch and made in his workshop at Chipping Camden by John Limbrey, was commissioned by the Directors of Hoskins and Horton and Presented To William George Ainge Russell as a token of their affection and in grateful recognition of Twenty Five years of Partnership in their work, September 11th 1978’.
