Elvis Presley: A Custom-Made White Leather 'Eagle' Belt Signed and Made By Mike McGregor, dated 1979, white leather belt custom-made for Elvis Presley by blacksmith and leather craftsman, Mike McGregor, of typical style for Elvis in the early 1970s, embellished with brass eagle and American flag motifs, silver-coloured studs and chains, the large central buckle with brass eagle and American flag motif and the back of the belt buckle inscribed and dated Hand Made by Mike McGregor, 1979 in black ink, accompanied by a letter of provenance, buckle 6in x 5in (15cm x 12.5cm); total length of belt approx 45in (114.5cm) Footnotes: Provenance: Acquired by the vendor's Mother when she visited Memphis in 1980 with the UK Elvis Presley Fan Club - she was the 'Elvisly Yours' Fan Club Trip Organiser. According to the accompanying letter, the vendor's Mother accompanied Sir David Frost on the trip in August 1980 during the making of a documentary about Elvis and his fans. They attended Graceland for the anniversary of Elvis' death and subsequently met Mike McGregor.
