SUN 217 - ELVIS PRESLEY - BABY LET'S PLAY HOUSE - Sun 217 brings us this clean 1955 release with Elvis and Scotty & Bill c/w I'm Let, You're Right, She's Gone. With distinct push markings, 'Excellorec BMI' and 'Hi-Lo Music BMI' credits. The record is in VG+ condition with some light surface markings, perhaps noted on 'Baby Let's Play House', though nothing of a heavier nature whatsoever. MATRIX: U-142-45 72 + U-143X-45-2 72.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - DEALERS' PREVUE - This white label RCA Victor promo (SDS-57-39) contained two tracks apiece by six RCA artists and was released in October 1957. The two Elvis tracks are Jailhouse Rock and Treat Me Nice. The vinyl is in VG condition with no feelable scratches but a few surface scratches and surface scruffing. Although it doesn't come with the original mailer it does come with a photocopy of one.

ELVIS PRESLEY - 'THIS IS HIS LIFE' PICTURE SLEEVE WITH HOUND DOG 7" - A true piece of history - the first Elvis picture sleeve! 'This Is His Life: Elvis Presley' gives a cartoon depiction of his life. Alhtough stamped RCA Victor it does not directly correspond to any particular catalogue number or record. The sleeve is in remarkably good condition considering its age with some minor yellowing, tape down both side edges and some wear to the top, overall in VG to VG+ condition. It comes with the the 45 RPM 7" edition of Hound Dog (47-6604). No feelable marks but some shadowing and surface scruffs and scratches (VG).

ELVIS PRESLEY - DON'T/WEAR MY RING AROUND YOUR NECK - Excedingly rare 7" promo record (SP 45-76). Was made for release to DJs in America. This record also comes with the original promo sleeve - even rarer than the record! The sleeve is taped round the edges but is in decent condition, VG. The vinyl however has a 1cm crack at the edge, other than this there are no other feelable marks. The 'not for sale' record label is in good condition though.

SUN 209 - ELVIS PRESLEY - THAT'S ALL RIGHT - The very first Sun recording featuring The King with Scotty And Bill - That's All Right c/w Blue Moon Of Kentucky. An original release with 'Wabash BMI', 'Peer Wabash' credits with the catalogue number at the 9 O Clock positions of both sides and push marks. The record is in G+ condition with surface marks to both playing sides, though these are never heavier scratches. Some wear to the label. MATRIX: U-128-45 72 + U-129-45 72.

ELVIS 1956-1963 UK LPs - A lovely collection of 11 x LPs. All early UK issue on Silver or Red RCA labels with one HMV label. Sleeve condition is generally VG with vinyl in much better condition, generally Ex to Ex+. RCA mono cat numbers are RD 7534/7609/27238/27171/27192/27224,RB 16069 and the 10" RC 24001. RCA stereo cat numbers are SF 5135 and SF 7528. The HMV label is an original 1956 issue of Rock'n'Roll with the 'CLP dot' labels(CLP 1093, VG/sleeve heavily torn and damaged).

We have three copies of All Shook Up: first pressing purple and gold HMV label (45-POP. 359, VG+); a later issue purple and silver HMV label (45-POP. 359, Ex); and an export copy on purple and gold HMV label (45-JO 473, Ex). The lot is rounded off by two later issue purple and silver HMV lablelled singles: Lawdy, Miss Calwdy (45-POP 408, Ex) and I'm Left, You're Right, She's Gone (45-POP 428, Ex+). The purple and silver singles while not first pressings are still from the originl run of UK publication in the 1950s.

We have Love Me Tender (7EG8199, Ex/VG+, vinyl has a couple of minor surface marks but retains its original gloss, sleeve shows no sign of fading or delaminating but does have some minor tears and creases) and Good Rockin' Tonight (7EG8256, Ex+/Ex, remarkable condition for its age). All in all, a fine lot!

ELVIS PRESLEY - HEARTBREAK HOTEL - A beautiful 1956 UK first pressing of this first ever, seminal single from Elvis (7M 385). On the purple HMV label with gold lettering. Matrix numbers are 7XAV 1422-1N/1423-1N. Runouts are RT 1 H/RT 1 T. Condition is astonihingly clean for its age and rarity, Ex+ with the vinyl surface still retaing all of its original glossy look. Comes in a near mint paper HMV outer.

ELVIS PRESLEY - LET ME BE THERE - Super rare stereo/mono (JH-10951) version of the song, known as the 'single that never was' This promo was sent to radio stations in June 1974 to be played as a forthcoming release that was later pulled. It was never issued as a regular 7". Matrix numbers are JH10951A1/JH10951C1. Condition is VG+ with some very light surface marks on the record surface.

ELVIS PRESLEY - ROUSTABOUT - Extremely rare and sought after 'silver top' stereo copy of this record (LPS-2999), the last time an Elvis record was pressed on this label. The matrix numbers are RPRS 5278-1S/5279-1S, runouts A H/A H. Condition is brilliant for a record of this age with just some very minor surface marking. The sleeve shows some wear around the edges. Overall Ex/VG+.

ELVIS PRESLEY - ASSORTED RELEASES - A wide ranging collection of Elvis releases covering a broad cross section of his work with LPs, live albums, box sets, compilations and singles. This lot includes some early recordings including a purple and silver label HMV 7" single I Sit In My Window (45 POP 391, VG+), Rock'n'Roll (CLP 1093, dot on both sides, VG/damged sleeve), four silver spot RCA LPs, four red spot RCA LPs, two red seal RCA LPs and assorted compliation and live albums. A really fine lot!

ELVIS PRESLEY - NO. 2 - A very well presented 1st UK HMV pressing of the 1957 long player (CLP 1105). The distintive semi-circle red label LP is in VG+ condition. There are just a couple of quite light surface markings with definitely no heavier marks or scratches of any note. The record shows its original glossy finish and this is really is a clean copy with the labels bright with only some light spindlewear. 1N/2N matrix endings. The sleeve is in VG condition with some wear to the rear of the flipback design and some shelfwear.

ELVIS PRESLEY - ROCK'N'ROLL - An outstanding copy of the 1956 original UK issue version of the album. This release is on the red and gold HMV label without the 'CLP dot' on either side. Matrix numbers are 2XAV 255-1N/2XAV 256-1N. Runouts are 1 GG/1 GR. Vinyl condition is very clean, especially considering the age with just a couple of very minor surface blemishes, Ex. The laminated sleeve has not faded but there are some minor tears and splits, hence VG. Overall though, a very clean copy.

ELVIS PRESLEY - ELVIS PRESLEY NO. 2 - A beautiful copy of this seminal record, an original 1957 UK pressing (CLP 1105). On the red and gold HMV label with fully laminated back sleeve. Matrix numbers are G2-WP-7207-2N/G2-WP-7208-1N. Runouts are 13 GG/13 GO. Viny condition is VG with numerous scriffs and marks but nothing feelable. Sleeve is remarkably unfaded and looks very clean but there is some horizontal splitting along the spine, so also VG condition.

Also includes a boxed LP set and some of the albums come with additionals such as posters. We also have a picture disc of If Everyday Was Like Christmas (RCAP 369, Ex). There are albums here that are still in their original shrinkwraapping, and plenty of collector editipn gatefold releases. Again, condition is brilliant with the vinyl generally Ex+ and sleeves ranging from VG+ to Ex+.

ELVIS PRESLEY - EARLY UK RECORDINGS - A great slice of the UK Elvis discography with a variety of original issue releases. There are 2 x 10" releases: Loving You (RC 24001) and The Best of Elvis (DLP 1159). There are two very early HMV LPs: Rock'n'Roll (CLP 1093, dot on side 2 only, VG+/G) and Rock'n'Roll 2 (CLP 1105, no cover, VG). The collection is rounded of by a variety of early silver spot RCA LPs with seven albums in the RCA RC xxxxx cat. number series with 27052, 27120, 27128, 27192, 27211, 27224 and 27265. There is an aditonal red seal RCA album - Elvis Golden Records (RB-16069). Vinyl condition generally between VG+ and Ex. Sleeve conditions between G+ and VG+.
