A stunning white label test pressing spread over 2 single-sided LPs of Greek Variations, the 1970 collaborative album by British jazz pioneers Neil Ardley, Ian Carr & Don Rendell (SCX 6414, white-label stereo test pressing on Columbia. LP 1 contains side 1. Matrix YAX 4047, the condition is stunning Ex+/ record 2 contains side 2. Matrix: YAX 4048. Condition is beautiful Ex. Both records come in plain white card sleeves, each has a small cover sticker with printed record information).

The record is in lovely Ex condition showing only a couple of very light and minor surface hairline marks. Matrix/runout: BS-2762 40680 RE2 1A & BS-2762 40679 RE2 1B. Housed with the original 'generic' white sleeve with the track listing and catalogue number handwritten.

CLIMAX RECORD (GLOBE RECORD CO.) Single-sided (x3),Anvil Chorus – Iltrovatore - Verdi (Record No 84). American Republic - (Record No 188). Sand Dance – Mr Frank Mazziotta (Record No 135). Columbia opened conversations with the Burt Company of Millburn, New Jersey, which had previously done pressing work for Berliner. Burt hired recording engineer John English from Zon-O-Phone in March 1901. in August established the Globe Record Company as a subsidiary. Globe began producing its first 7in Climax discs, with embossed label. Globe attempted to sell these records itself. Climax Records are exceptionally rare.
