A Continental gilt brass rococo revival chandelierHaving eighteen foliate scroll branches issuing from a central knopped baluster stem festooned with further foliate scrollwork.80cm wide x 76cm highAppears good overall with minor signs of age and use.  Some rubbing to the gilt in places consistet with age and polishing/dusting. Patches of verdigris to the pendant finial.  General surface dust throughout but especially the branches and so would benefit from sensitiv cleaning.  Will require re-wiring/installing by a professional electrician.

One chain with section missing between two hoops- will require replacement to hang the whole level with existing chain set up. Another has snapped. The chains themselves prone to catching and snarling up and in part are a gilded soft greyish metal which cannot quite support the weight of the chandelier.The whole will benefit from a clean- albeit some gilding looks to have rubbed from use.
