A Georgian style twelve light chandelier together with a similar ten light example (2)Right hand chandelier - one drop missing, 79cm diameter (approx), 75cm high (approx) (excluding any chains/wires) etc. Left hand chandelier - drops present, 62cm diameter (approx), 38cm high (approx) (excluding any chains/wires). We would advise rewiring any second hand light fittings (not tested - sold as seen).
A Regency gilt bronze and cut glass three light candelabrum in the manner of John Blades, the lappet sconces above scalloped drip-pans hung with faceted rectangular drops and lustres, with reeded scroll arms above a lobed central support on a circular plinth and anthemion hairy paw feet, 64.3cm high, 45.5cm wide. John Blades (c. 1751-1829) established his glass and chandelier showroom at 5 Ludgate Hill in 1783. He was appointed glassmaker to George III in 1789. He is well known for his collaboration with the architect J. B. Papworth. Provenance: From the collection of Sir Jeremy Lever.
A Regency gilt brass and cut glass chandelier, with a foliate corona hung with faceted drops and lustres above a tapering stem and a conforming base with six scrolling foliage branches each issuing a fluted drop-pan and a bud sconce, each hung with drops and lustres with a conforming graduated basket base hung with a faceted ball pendant, early 19th century, 128cm high, 83cm wide.
