Motor Racing Album. Indianapolis 500, 1965, album containing seventy-nine original colour photographs of the race, including a photograph autographed by the world champion racing driver Jimmy Clark, contemp. cloth covered album, 4to. This album forms an extensive record of the Indianapolis 500 Motor Speedway race in which Jim Clark was the winner. Jim Clark effectively led the 1965 Indianapolis 500 from start to finish. The new Lotus 38 was a very handsome car, running a stronger version of the four-cam Ford V8. He sustained a 150mph average to win the race by a full two laps over Parnelli Jones. Clark tragically killed in a crash at Hockenheim, Germany whilst racing on 7th April, 1968. (1)
