Married couple Adam (Alec Baldwin) and Barbara Maitland (Geena Davis) found themselves dead after a car accident and discovered their home now owned by the Deetz family, which left them to conduct all means necessary to remove them, including seeking help from the bio-exorcist Beetlegeuse (Michael Keaton). This lot consists of a 67-page yellow second draft screenplay dated February 3, 1987 marked "John V." for propmaker foreman John Villarino; a 25-page print revised Special FX Breakdown packet dated March 9, 1987 and marked "Villarino"; a printed call sheet dated "June 2, 1987"; and 40 color print behind-the-scenes photos of the Maitland home, the bridge, and Winter River. Belushi wore a number of hats throughout his career, including on Saturday Night Live and as his Blues Brothers character "Joliet" Jake Blues, but this particular hat is believed to be one that Belushi wore in his personal life.This hat was originally auctioned off at the John Belushi Charity Auction on Saturday, June 9, 1990. Most of the content for that auction was donated directly by John's widow, Judy Belushi, with a few items donated by John's friends. THE RUNNING MAN (1987) - Dynamo's (Erland van Lidth) Stalker Car - Dynamo's (Erland Van Lidth) stalker car from Paul Michael Glaser's The Running Man. Stalker Dynamo used his car to hunt down and kill runners on a futuristic game show until Captain Benjamin Stuart "Ben" Richards (Arnold Schwarzenegger) forced the car to crash, trapping Dynamo.This custom-built, futuristic four-wheeled vehicle features an open metal cockpit with metal roll bars at center, vented and riveted metal paneling on the front, back, and sides, and a metal crest on the top. Beneath the crest is a panel of electronics such as circuit boards, computer chips, and false wiring, and beneath that an all-metal undercarriage with spikes protruding from the front wrapped with a chain. Additional fearsome spikes on either side of two fans designed to rotate over the truck protrude above the back two tires.The cockpit contains a leather-wrapped wheel with a matching vinyl-covered foam seat, a gear shift toggle, and a dashboard featuring an amp meter, odometer, and various switches hand-marked "Up," "D D," and "U2D." Also present is a control panel labeled "DISPLAY LIGHTS-DYN 2-OIL-GEN" and various wires taped to sidebars in the doors.Following production, the front panels were disconnected from their electronics, rendering the car entirely nonfunctional. This vehicle contains no engine, no windows, no side lights, and no floor in the trunk area. Its interior sides are unfinished, its right rear tire is flat, its front headlights are smashed, and every metal component exhibits some degree of rust from exposure and age. Other metal components, such as the cockpit support bars and dashboard elements, are broken or bent, while the cockpit seat is split down the middle and exhibits sticky residue. Ray took his camera on his road trip home to California from the Wallbrook mental institution with his brother Charlie. Later, he wore his shirt while watching the dryer at a laundromat and when Charlie let him drive his car in front of Caesar's Palace. With significant acclaim for its storytelling and performances, Rain Man won a total of four Academy Awards®, including Best Actor for Hoffman and Best Picture. Created by assistant art director Simon Murton, this lot consists of 10 printed concept designs and blueprints with hand-illustrated components rendered on brown, red, and white sketch paper of the interior of a police car, the de-evolution chamber, vehicles and air stompers; and two hand-drawn illustrations rendered in blue pastel on tracing paper. The back is hand-marked "McClane Oldsmobile" in black marker, and the plastic exhibits intentional distressing by production with grime and liquid streaks. BACK TO THE FUTURE: THE RIDE (1991-2007) - Douglas Trumbull Collection: Set of Hand-Drawn Ralph McQuarrie Storyboards - A set of storyboards hand-drawn by Ralph McQuarrie for Back to the Future: The Ride at Universal Orlando theme park. Based on the Back to the Future film series, the ride serves as a mini-sequel to Back to the Future Part III. Legendary science-fiction concept artist Ralph McQuarrie, who most famously created concept art for the original Star Wars trilogy, worked on storyboards and concept art for the ride.This lot comes from the collection of special photographic effects artist Douglas Trumbull. It consists of 21 pages of hand-drawn early storyboards hand-drawn by Ralph McQuarrie detailing the DeLorean car going through the ride scenes with handwritten notes along the side, 17 of which are dated for June 15th 1989. Also included are two pages of printed storyboard with illegible printed notes, and a set of printed storyboard frames adhered to white paper with handwritten and drawn annotations.
